They're much much weaker. It depends on how much Trunks changed the past. Personally, I still think Future Vegeta could handle them, but that's probably just me. After all, he'd just love to one day surpass Kakarott.

He became more matured and has his own lifestyle. This Vegeta from the future just came new and isn't used to live on Earth without Kakarot.
