I think the movie is awesome. I would have been asking for something like this a few years ago. I'm done bitchin' about the small things, to be honest.
BoG is a small thing?
BOG itself isn't a small thing. I was talking about the small things in it that shouldn't matter anymore. Vegeta's anger boost and stuff like that. I was just meaning that I should start accepting things like that since they are coming from the author himself. I just don't feel right dissing on the movie when I know deep down that I wouldn't have care about petty stuff like that in the past.
Ah I see. Nice insight. I personally hate 90% of movie. But nice to know it was a major success elsewhere

 I give the movie (directors cut) 6.8/10
The theoretical 6/10


Bad:
1. Raging Vegeta was B.S being able make Beerus bleed, while clearly throughout the manga, Vegeta has never achieved a rage boost.
2. Too much talking in the battle between SSG Goku and Beerus.
3. 8mins, 23secs of worthless Emperor Pilif and his stupid gang, which the 8 mins should have been used for explaining the legend of the Saiyan God or actually show SS3 Gogeta fight Beerus.
4. Inconsistencies like Satan not knowing Dende.


Acceptable:
1. SSG transformation. To me I think the only way for these Saiyans to get any stronger is by everybody providing their energy so [someone] can ascend to the next level. I'm kind of sick of SS4, or SS5 or whatever.


Good:
1. Closing credits was good.
2. Climax of Beerus vs SS1 Goku with God Powers absorbed was great, love the music and action.
3. Beerus vs Z-Fighters was good. I like the way Beerus used skills along with his overwhelming power and speed.
4. Relationship between Beerus and Whis is enjoyable to watch. Especially in the new extra scenes at the end after Whis knocks out Beerus.
5. The opening scene where Beerus wakes up is enjoyable.
6. Beerus has good personality (instead of stupid brutes like Broly).
7. Goku actually lost fair and square. I'm so tired of TOEI movies where Goku pulls a win out of his a***.

 I actually liked the concepts of this movie (SSj God, God of Destruction etc).
I feel like it took me back to the light hearted DB.
From an in-universe point of vew, everyone had gone through so much torture with Cell and Boo. That's why everyone wouldn't be so serious.
So, having Beerus being evil and serious would be kinda lame. Beerus isn't a villain. In my opinion, he is an interesting character who's unique.
And something new and unique is what we need for a new DBZ movie.
In my opinion, whoever likes DB because of it's badassness, seriousness and a non-light hearted plot I don't think it's the right series for them.
FUNimation, misleads for fans, more than anything, IMO.
BoG really filled me with emotion and made me kind of connect with the TRUE (original from the manga type) characters and also gave me a feel of the nature of (awesome) simplicity in this movie, which is also how I feel about the series overall and makes me love it.
The only thing I don't like in this movie is that all of some awesome characters didn't have much of an active role as I would expect. Too much emphasis on only Gokuu and Vegeta. Though, I understand why they would do it.
Also, they could have made the fights a bit more creative. But, I guess they wanted to bring back to us the epic, over the top, hax battles of the original anime.
8.5/10 for me.
