Not too sure about this, but I think there are a few scenes in the manga where he's shown to have the same aura as MSSJ Goku and Gohan. Plus I doubt he'd leave the form as it, seeing he himself was talking it up.

His hair is MSSJ like an his aura is similar to that of a normal MSSJ. Future Trunks also had the same MSSJ traits in his final appearance in the Manga. Goten and Trunks are also arguably MSSJ's as well.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball Z	He sure master the Super Saiyan in the Buu saga. He said it was so stupid of himself that he wasnt thinking of becoming MSSJ when saw Gohan and Goku in the Cell arc. Vegeta had 7 years to realise this so he definitely is a MSSJ there.

Based on the events leading to one getting SSJ2, it would seem that MSSJ is a prerequisite to being able to achieve SSJ2.

He'd already used his time in the ROSAT, and the major characteristic of mastering SSj seems to be simple time, not really skill. He probably hadn't had enough time to fully master it, explaining why he might have not been fully mastered when we see him at the Cell Games. However, I also have a theory that SSj2 can't be reached unless people are mastered first. So Vegeta would've been mastered in the Boo Arc. Not mastering results in forms like Grades 2 and 3. A big characteristic of mastered Super Saiyan is a lax attitude. With Vegeta, it's hard to tell because he's so aggressive to begin with, but I think his lax moments in the Boo Arc while in SSj give it away. Not to mention that his aura doesn't look any different from Goku's or Gohan's. Edited by Ketchup Revenge, Jun 8 2014, 06:14 PM.

Trunks has a clearly defined FPSSJ aura when he goes back in time, which is only a day after the Cell Games. We never really got to see Vegeta and Trunks's aura well enough at the Cell Games.
