Least Favourite Character?

Posts: 1,995 Group: Member Member #10,673 Joined: January 4, 2014 Gender Male	In the Entire series from Dragonball to Z. There are many characters. Who's the worst? No movies characters(Even BoG). For me I love them all to have a character that I just don't like. But my least favorite has to be the the Check in guy at the Other World. I think It's King Emma? I just hate his a***. TO cocky when anyone stronger than Raditz can beat him up. I just want to shove my foot in his anus. Not to mention he's ugly.

Seriously, talk about a selfish piece of crap. He's nothing more than a tool for AT. At the very least, before Vegeta had the excuse that he was evil and hadn't gone through his character development yet. Vegeta went through his development during the Cell Games, he learned to think about others and in the end finally found that a family and friends isn't so bad without messing up his usual gruff and badass nature. All that got obliterated when apparently Vegeta's desire to suck Goku's rock hard nuts is more important than his friends, family and all that. All that stuff he worked on, it took less than 5 seconds because some wizard could potentially make him rival Goku. A gap that mind you, wasn't even that massive to begin with. Remember when Vegeta gives that huge little speech during the Kid boo fight? On how Goku's so much better? Yeah he did that before. He outright states that yes, as much as he doesn't like it, Goku is a better person. He states this in the Cell Arc. And then the biggest one imo. The one point that really just irks me to no degree. Telling that the Earth needs to take responsibility and defeat Boo. What a * load of crap. No, no we don't Mr. Vegeta. You need to get off your * and fix your mistake because if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have been in this situation in the first place. I like Vegeta as an overall character in the other Arcs, his snarky and badass attitude and all that. But here, its just degrading to him. He literally did a 360 somehow. He starts off as a smug bastard...and he ends up as a smug bastard. So many people see him and Majin Vegeta as these badass awesome characters, but the only thing I see is tool that AT used in his manga because apparently he couldn't think up of any good ideas. And it really hurts the character imo. It could've been done well. We've could seen perhaps how Vegeta wants to go back to his old self but also knows that he's found a good life. There could've been an excellent point where Babidi really does control Vegeta through his innate evil. Bringing out that past that Vegeta's trying to get away from and then at the end, Vegeta defeats his evil Hyde self and finds that, its not about strength or power or pride but about family. His character can be cool at times but sometimes he acts like an annoying p*ick that you just want to see get kicked in the balls. As for a character I don't like, it would have to be Gohan. I never liked how AT always rehashed his whole "hidden power" plot device. It was extremely redundant and overdone eventually. Though I will admit SSJ2 CG Gohan was pretty interesting. Also, I hate Mystic Gohan with a burning passion. He should have just been killed off by Fat Buu, the story wouldn't have been effected that much anyway,.

That would've been very unique and interesting. In my honest opinion... one of the biggest wastes in the Boo arc. I don't hate Gotenks, but I loved the potential of a great character he could've and should've been. AT didn't have a bad set up for Gotenks, but how it was presented and executed was the downfall of Gotenks. And personally Gotenks didn't seem like the best characteristics of Goten and Trunks, as more of the worst characteristics of them. The Boo arc really did have the potential to be so much more and possibly the best arc in the DBZ universe. As for the Dormant Power thing, I do think that Gohan should have naturally achieved SS2 in the ROSAT and then in the Boo arc have all of Gohan's dormant power brought out. So then you do have a set up and it isn't out of nowhere, and we see the true depths of Gohan's power and should've let him defeat Boo, showing that Gohan truly is the future and not just thrown to the side like he's completely useless.

By the time Super Boo came around, the Boo Arc had turned into a much more serious aspect. Nobody was laughing when Bee got shot. Nobody was laughing when Super Boo was butchering people left and right. Nobody was laughing when Super Boo callously killed Chi-Chi. Things had turned dark and serious. And then Gotenks comes up and starts walloping around being stupid and it looks awful. Maybe had this occurd with Fat Boo, who was a much lighter and carefree villain, it may have been better. Here, it just comes of as obnoxious and unpleasant. And you can almost feel the pain Piccolo is in when he has to deal with this. It's like dealing with a baby in a theatre. You're nice and you don't say anything, but deep down you wish it would be quiet and/or the parents would take it out. That's Gotenks for you. The annoying baby in the theatre is doing more harm than good and you just want him to shut up and go away. You can imagine how bad it would be if during the Cell Games, Cell has just killed No. 16 and Gohan has transformed. Only to have Gohan turn around, pull down and his pants and go: "I'm going to spank you Cell!" It would be awful and it's awful watching this stupid kid just make an idiot of himself and try to be funny. And that's another problem, I'm sorry but I think AT's humor is terrible. I find none of it funny and I'd much rather he try to tell a story than try to shove antics up our faces with Gotenks. Funny to me, is something that doesn't have to up in our faces. Humor at its best, is something that can be both funny but intelligent. The best jokes to me are the ones are subtle. The ones that have a story to them. It's not what you do or say, it's how you do and say it. And unfortunately Gotenks doesn't know how to do or say it. IN the end, its come off as just childish rushed mess.

I would've been cool to see him have more of a Future Trunks attitude.

You know, Goten and Trunks were all ready for action, Goten just saw his mother get killed, as far as he knows his brother his dead and his father's gone. He's literally without a family now and Trunks' father has been killed. They just got their tail ends whooped by Fat Boo before and now they're facing this even nastier Boo who eats happiness and ***s out misery. And you think. at the very least they're going to want to torture Boo or show him up or something. You think Gotenks might go the Gohan route or something. Incorrect but, maybe wanting to make Boo suffer for what he's done. Instead it's just...antics. Antics! Antics! Antics! But alright, we're in the ROSAT. It's just you and Boo...and that other green guy who isn't important and never will be in the Boo Arc cough* cough cough...so I mean alright. I suppose you can have some fun now. But then SSJ3 GOtenks comes out and he learns that every single person he ever loved...is inside Boo. He's mocking Gotenks. Has a big toothy grin and is patting his stomach. It was probably slow, digestion isn't quick and now Trunks' mother has the glorious point of being later shat out of Boo in the toilet when's done with her. For about 10 seconds it's all "Alright Boo....now you've done it!" and it should be. Your family and friends are dead and unless someone told you about Namek dragon balls, they're dead forever to you. They will never come back the person who did it, is laughing at you. "Hey Piccolo, you want play volleyball!" It's like a kid with ADHD or something, he can't focus on one thing for more than 20 seconds!

Internet Explorer Favourite Manga Dragon Ball Z	That's why I said more of. I don't want a copy and paste, that wouldn't be original and we've seen it all before. I wouldn't have mind seeing Gotenks toy around and still about to go for the finishing move and then the Fusion fails due to SS3. But I do agree that Gotenks was way too silly and needed to be more serious. That's why I feel the set up was there for Gotenks to be a complete badass and make Boo suffer, but the execution was horrible and I feel Gotenks had the potential to be something great.

DBM Gotenks might have been a slightly more mature Gotenks. Also, in my fic series, I portray Gotenks with his goofy attitude only he is serious during battle.
