So does ganging up on a villain or the heroes mean anything?

Example if it was a 1 billion Super Perfect Cell vs ssj vegito would it make a difference if he was trying to actually kill him?

Or if there were 1 billion ssj3 goku's,and 1 Billion ssj2 vegeta's vs buuhan would it make the slightest difference?

Thing is the Billion of those people won't be able to inflict any damage on someone who's massively stronger than them.

Quality >>>>>>> Quantity in DBZ.

Not really, because the stronger fighter could easily annihilate all of the weaker fighters, and be able to tank their attacks.

As long as we aren't talking about the fighters who can destroy a planet and survive in space (or teleport to a different planet) i think number can eventually bring him down.

Unless you start combining amplified ki blasts, no. The massive differences between these characters is so great that, there is literally nothing they can do. Where they have to get together and combine their ultimate amplified attacks just to take out the villain...and hope they hit him, the villain can just casually one shot all of them with a single finger because they're so much more powerful.

Numbers work when the gaps are relatively close or not massively significant.

Buuhan didn't do this to just the one SSJ3 Goku and just the one SSJ2 Vegeta. Is it really realistic it would be instantly over if he were up against a billion of both?

They didn't even fight really though.

Also, Boohan was pretty cocky, so he didn't just beat them when he could have.

And this would still be cocky Buuhan and each of his billion enemies would individually have Goku's combatwearyness, Solar Flare, Spiritbomb and Instant Transmission.

Firstly I want to point out that Boohan never fights Goku or Vegeta in the manga, that was filler. Secondly, you have to take into account that in a real match, we're not going to utilize PIS or CIS...which is the only reason many of these weaker characters even pull out the win in the first place against massively stronger opponents. In a real match, we're going to infer that Boohan isn't going to just sit there and smile while a billion SSJ3 Goku's power up their combined KHH or something.

i think numbers would help if its like 1 vs 100. Unless its like 100 raditzs vs 1 namek saga ssj goku. goku would wipe them all out easily. It kind of depends on the gap. Usually no, numbers dont really help at all
