How do we even know Cell's kills numbered in the millions? Give me a direct statement or it didn't happen.

Crazy Awesome Legend

Wasn't he going around emptying entire cities of their inhabitants? Pretty sure his kills were in the high thousands at least.

You don't think Cell was more reasonable than Freeza?
Considering as he was going to blow up the world anyway...no.

All Cell wanted was to test his power and fight. In that regard, he's similar to Goku. He killed millions, yeah, but that doesn't mean he can't be reasoned with. Look at Vegeta; he slaughtered countless beings, yet he became a 'good guy'.

Yeah after getting the ever loving sh*t beat out of him and being killed. Not to mention that unlike Goku, Cell was going to kill everyone if all the competitors lost and in addition to wanting to test his strength, he wanted to see the fear people would have upon witnessing his power and realizing that they don't/didn't have a chance. And since Gohan was the only one that could stand up to him, it was either accept his destiny or have the world blow up.

And unlike Vegeta, Cell doesn't have a strong reason to stick around and be a "good guy". Vegeta was hellbent on settleing the score between them and manage to steal Yamcha's girl and start a family in the process. Cell was merely intrigued with the quality of the fighters on Earth and Goku happened to have the reputation of being the strongest. Once Cell would have defeated Goku, which he did, he was going to destroy everyone on Earth, which he eventually tried to do. I don't see why Gohan should regress back to his "I don't want to fight" mindset just because Cell was like Saiyan Saga Vegeta and Goku combined.
