Where did Goten learn about ki waves?

Something to ponder.
We see Goten able to use ki prior to his training with flight, and we know that Gohan never really trained with him prior to that, and pretty much all of the training that they did was simply sparring.

Chi Chi doesn't know anything about ki waves (that we're aware of).

So where did Goten learn it?

Born with the ability, apparently. Goku would probably learn by himself at some point too if he didn't hit his head.

That seems plausible, but I was going to suggest that he learned from Trunks possibly.

Trunks was suggested to know how to fly prior to his training for the Tenkaichi Budokai, so he obviously knew a thing or two about ki.

He would have learned from Trunks.

I also think it was from trunks, because Goten admitted to play fighting with Trunks and since Chi-Chi doesn't know anything about Ki... it's only logical that Goten learned it from Trunks.

Goten could have figured it out on his own. Gohan was able to do the same while left to fend for himself in the wild for six months. By that time, Gohan was able to at least use it to light a fire.

He could have. But considering that he regularly hung out with the much more experienced and knowledgeable Trunks, I think it's more likely that he learned some things from him.

I think Goten learned how to when he was sparring with Trunks in the woods. They used to do that while Goten was training with Chi-Chi and before he ended up training with Gohan. Trunks showed at the tournament that he had his Ki manipulation down, showing off in front of Goten. I can see it all starting with them in the woods play fighting with each other.
