I don't see it that way Kaboom. If Freeza was speed weighted, then what does that make Goku? Is Goku balanced and equal to Freeza's power but a bit slower? Honestly could be the case considering their fight.
I'unno. Speed has always seemed to be one of Goku's strong points, too. If you combine that with him being closer in power to Freeza than Vegeta was, then bam, you've got Goku being able to put up a fight when Vegeta couldn't.

I'm just kind of tossing some extra ideas into the mix willy-nilly here.

Ah I see what you are saying. This is how I think Freeza's power works.

He transforms and has access to his serious power he used against Goku, but isn't using it. It's an effort thing.

So let's say Freeza at 100% of his initial power is how he was against Goku when he didn't use his hands.

Freeza uses a lot less of this power initially when he first transforms. No one can see him except for Vegeta, When Vegeta tries to fight him, Freeza ups his speed.

When Vegeta fires his blast at him, Freeza does take it serious. How serious ? I don't know. It could be his full effort or at least a majority of it.

Then after defeating Vegeta, he goes back down to the level he was defeating Vegeta with. Goku and himself start upping their efforts in th warm ups and eventually get completely serious.

Okay

Chapter: 310 (DBZ 116), P14.1-2
Context: after fighting with Goku for some time
Freeza: “I’m starting to feel like that’s enough warming up…”
Goku: “Me too”.

Chapter: 312 (DBZ 118), P4.4
Context: as Goku and Freeza are staring at each other
Piccolo: “They’re both searching out a moment to come at each other…Anyway, it seems like their stupendous ki alone could crush me…”

Chapter: 312 (DBZ 118), P4.5-6
Gohan: “F-father can win…”
Piccolo: “We can’t know that…Their power far surpasses our understanding…”

After they finished 'Warming up', Piccolo made those statements. Also, he made the statement of them being 'Monsters' during their warm-up fight, so we know that

Freeza (Warming Up) >~ Goku (Warming Up) > Freeza (Initial) > Goku (Initial) > Vegeta (Zenkai) > Piccolo (w/o weights)

Yep. And Piccolo calls Goku and Freeza Gods. I just don't think the 1.5 million to 3 million gap is going to cut it for me to make that sort of scenery work.

Piccolo considers Base Goku and Initial Freeza gods with power that feels could crush him.

Perhaps Vegeta on Namek when he first witnesses Goku again could play into this though right?

Where are you getting that 'Gods' statement from? I can't seem to find it.

I look at the fight with Freeza like this:
Vegeta: 480,000
-Zenkai: 2,400,000
Freeza: 530,000
-Second Form: 1,060,000
--First Power Up: 1,120,000
--Max Power: 1,200,000
-Third Form: 1,800,000
-Final Form(Initial): 3,600,000
--50%: 60,000,000
--100%: 120,000,000
Piccolo(W/ Weights): 1,080,000
-W/ Out Weights: 1,400,000
Goku: 3,000,000
-Kaioken x10: 30,000,000
-Kaioken x20: 60,000,000
-SSJ: 150,000,000

If Piccolo says Goku and Freeza are gods, he doesn't mean literal gods. He probably mean they have absolutely fantastic power.

Yes Emmeth. But the hyperbole is strong for these two characters. So I'm trying to give them their due. Their powers are beyond our realms of comprehension seems to be a bit much for someone only double your power.

Snake the comment occurs after Goku has escaped that Freeza barrier move. Right before they start the serious fight.

Piccolo: “They’re monsters, both of them…Damn it all…”

This one, right?

Herms' translation, via the Strength Checker on Kanzenshuu. I'm guessing that you're using the Viz translation?

Yep. I guess it's the same point. These guys are ridiculously powerful.

Do you think Piccolo is playing the role of Vegeta in the Goku vs Ginyu Force scenario? It does feel pretty similar don't it?

P, random question though.

Do you have Vegeta post zenkai having at the same tier as Frieza initial form?

Let's not forget to take physiology and such into account. Final-form Freeza is working with a very small and slender body, so he's likely got above-average speed for that power level. He could be around 3 million in power but have speed equivalent to 3.5 million or so.
I doubt that's it. Burter is huge and doesn't look aerodynamic at all, yet his speed is noted as being pretty damn fast for his power level, and in travel speed, he's beastly

Yes. Or at least the power and speed Freeza used initially. I think Vegeta is probably on par or a bit stronger.
