Was Gohan ever exposed to high temperatures like the Rosat's? I never claimed it did. I'm just saying that the Saiyans aren't going to take Sun level heat like OP suggests I don't know what you're talking about, though Goku's a Saiyan, I wasn't referring to the whole race. But amuse me, why you think this is impossible?

But what my theory sets out to prove is that everyone has their own specific durabilities outside of Boom explosion. Goku can have his Sun heat durability and gravity resistance. But people like Trunks who complain about a few hundred degrees have a serious lower degree of heat durability. Trying to write it off as the "author just wanted to make a point about how different the RoSat was" is funny at best. As the statements regarding Goku not surviving in space can be chalked up to "The author wanted to get across that Saiyans can't breathe in space" and thus we should drop his supposed sun level heat durability. My theory however allows for everyone to have different heat durabilities whilst taking into account everything that is stated. Goku can have a heat resistance that can match the sun's but Trunks can complain about a few hundred degrees.

Well yeah, Trunks did "noted" or "acknowledged" that the area they were in now was completely different from what he's used to. But again like I said earlier, there Super Saiyan transformations, changes the perspective because, their using a different ki source that's different from their base ki. It's still part of them but on a more alien level. As a Super Saiyan it increases their overall ability by a whole 'nother amount from their base. And lastly, that crazed because both Kaio and Frieza pretty much weren't all too worried about Namek's explosion. Edit: Lazer you forget that all them (hybrids mostly) weren't exposed to 10x gravity resulting in Tconnery's other post. And I was referring more directly to Super Saiyan's overall. Trunks didn't just passingly say it though, he flat out stated it was hot. At the same time Vegeta, Goku, and Gohan never complained about the heat or any other aspect of the RoSat. Just Trunks. Google Chrome Favourite Manga Dragon Ball	These are interesting points, and to be honest, I'm sure Toriyama would have Goku survive a nuclear bomb being dropped on him despite the intense heat. I'm starting to think heat shouldn't be relevant to a discussion because it's not clear what Goku can and cannot tank. Still though, Tao getting severely injured by a grenade raises a few issues. He could clearly tank the force of the bomb so something else played a part.
