Why do some of you think that Piccolo is weaker then the base saiyans in the Buu arc? Is it because Piccolo did give up against kaoishin? Everyone that knows Piccolo knows he never give up even if he doesnt stand a chance. Heck he even fought 50% Frieza and SPC even when he was nothing compared to them. He gave up against Kaoishin because of respect. He was standing against a God Kai. He never wanted to fight against him even if he was as weak as mr Satan. Piccolo was in the CG not far from the Cell Juniors, and in these 7 years he must have become stronger even if it doesnt look like that. But what do you want? In the Buu saga even SSJ2 was greatly outclassed. Piccolo may have reached the MSSJ level, but that was helpless against Buu. That is why I dont believe that base Saiyans surpassed Piccolo, but that Piccolo is actually stronger then them, placing him around the MSSJ. |

I agree about the KaioShin thing & I think Piccolo is above the Base Saiyans, too. But also not close to the Super-Saiyans. |

Actually I do. Like I said in my earlier post, he was not too far from Cell jr. So in these 7 years he must have become stronger, Piccolo is not the type like Gohan that will do nothing in these 7 years. However it was not notable that Piccolo did become stronger because SSJ2 was also not really a big help there. Thats why I think that Piccolo should have reached the MSSJ level.

Not head on right. But still it was very dangerous what he did he could easily have been killed. But the moral of my story is that Piccolo is not the fighter to give up doesnt matter how strong his opponent is, but that he did give up against Kaoishin because of respect. |

I guess that means Krillin's at MSSJ level too? EDIT: Even though I agree that Piccolo > Kaioshin... your argument is incredibly weak. Edited by Vertical, Jun 3 2014, 09:46 AM.

Lol did I say that?! My point was that Piccolo never give up doesnt matter how strong a opponent is, and that he did gave up against Kaoishin not because strenght but because of respect. Edit: You should read better next time. I dont say it makes him.very strong that he fight against opponents that are stronger then himself, I said he never give up! Man how many times must I repeat it before some people like you understand it?! Edited by RealSociedad, Jun 3 2014, 09:51 AM.

I read and comprehended what you stated in the opening post. My comment regarding Krillin was simply a tease (I had to try and stay light-hearted because if I actually delve into this... it takes time and we end up with the same result: my ridicule of your argument). Piccolo didn't forfeit out of respect. He forfeited because, for some reason beyond his understanding, his instincts were telling him not to fight Kaioshin. This was very likely due to Kami's knowledge and previous interactions with inhabitants of the after life. Post-forfeiting, he calmed himself and attempted to decipher why he was unable to battle Kaioshin... coming to the conclusion that he was some high ranked deity... and he was correct (though incorrect on which deity... or how high up the chain Kaioshin sat). This is me agreeing with your belief that "Piccolo > Kaioshin". Piccolo being superior to Kaioshin means nothing in regard to his standings against the base Saiyans. Piccolo doing well against the Cell Junior's means nothing in regard to his standings against the base Saiyans. Piccolo being stronger in the Buu Arc than he was in the Cell Arc means nothing in regard to his standings against the base Saiyans. |

Well you believe that base saiyans become so much stronger that they surpassed their SSJ selves? They made gains, but like that? Impossible. If they did become that stronger then Goku never would go SSJ against Yakon (even burst SSJ2). unless you believe base Saiyans > Cell jr, there is no way that Piccolo has been surpassed by the base Saiyans. Firstly; no, not impossible. But irrelevant anyways because I still have the Cell Games SSJ's superior to the Buu Arc Base Saiyans. Your reasoning here is simply confusing. Yakon's placement is determined by Goku's... if Goku's strength moves, so does Yakon's. Your belief that Piccolo has somehow surpassed Cell Junior level has no evidence to support it. Also, Piccolo does not have to be incredibly close to the Cell Junior level during the Cell Games for what happened to happen... consider Piccolo's condition after battling 50%+ Freeza (basically identical). Consider that you also have to squeeze SSJ Vegeta and SSJ Trunks in between the Cell Juniors and Piccolo... and it's not like you can put Vegeta very close to their level. |

Base Saiyans passing Piccolo must have happened during the Cell arc and not the 7 year gap for it to make sense. Given the powerscaling we are shown, depending on how big you think it is, it's possible but not likely. |

Piccolo made a good fight against them. And Piccolo barely noticed the difference between SSJ2 majin Vegeta and SSJ2 kid Gohan. So SSJ Majin Vegeta = SSJ Goku(buu)>= MSSJ Gohan (CG). Base Saiyans in Buu saga are maybe around semi Perfect Cell, but not higher then that. Only base Saiyans that can crush Piccolo are the fusions or Gohan (Post Z sword). |
