Considering the DB Universe is VASTLY smaller than our own... several hundred planets could, and is very likely to be, a huge chunk of a galaxy.

...but really, SEG... "I think"... get outta here.
Is there really proof behind this though?
Besides the map? There's only 4 galaxies :x
What's your take on this new BoG stuff surrounding the 12 universes? I don't consider it canon myself.
I consider it as "canon" as any other post-original-manga-run production.

The concept/ideals were placed in Toriyama's lap and he did what he could with them... but at the end of the day, he still had to present:
  • SSJ God
  • God of Destruction
  • Multiverse theory
All of which are ploys to extend the life of the franchise.
To be completely honest, if you actually follow the multiverse theory in real life, Toriyama already did touch on this when he introduced Trunks and his alternate set of events.
The real life multiverse theory is the theory that every set of possibilities has occurred and that the same people exist as different versions in different universes.
There are various multiverse theories out there... and within your post alone you've mentioned 3 of them (possibly without even realizing it).
  • #1 - that a Universe exists for every possible outcome of any event... this is generally the most popular and well known theory. It is the one applied to Dragon Ball Multiverse.
  • #2 - that time travel would create alternate Universes... this is applied during the Android/Cell Arc where Trunks' time-travel misadventures create 4 possible Universes.
  • #3 - that the Universe is simply one of many... this is the theory implied to exist within BoG. That each of the 12 Universes are completely different and separate entities (although likely operating under the same "rules").

Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

It's unlikely for every planet to be inhabitable and thereby worth conquering. Plus, several hundred ~ 1 tyrant seems like good odds to me. Besides, knowing Frieza's sadistic nature, he could've matched that number for planets blown up
We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.
