If you want the full heat of the sun go ahead. Hey nice job picking up on some little humour there, didn't mean for it to be taken seriously. According to your OP you want the full heat of the sun yet you don't want it. It's confusing me... And I'm just saying ki is not/ and has not shown levels to protect against heat like you assume, or rather the level you're putting it at. What I'm asking is for you to find a canon material that proves these guys can take the surface of the sun's heat or anything near that. http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2010-07/how-close-could-person-get-sun-and-survive Edited by Goddess Ultimecia, May 29 2014, 06:37 PM.

Okay let's break this down step by step shall we? The sun releases 91 petatons every single second Do you guys think raiditz will die from an energy attack that is carrying 91 petatons? Do you guys think that just because it's heat that no matter what your durability is you can't tank it because you have shown no resistance to it? |

He won't die from a KI attack that is 91 petatons. I do, Heat is heat, and seeing as how the best heat resistance feat shown is that of jet fuel or rocket fuel I'm inclined to believe that the heat would roast him. |

See that's the problem heat is energy just in another form that's why the sun can be measured in joules The ENTIRE output if the sun is 3.8x10^26 j per second So as you can see if the sun is measured in joules which is energy and like you said before 91 petatons of energy won't kill him How could the sun kill him then since it too is energy? |

It can kill him because unlike what you want to admit, Ki is not a heat based energy. It explodes and doesn't show any heat characteristics besides light scorching of the ground...which isn't impressive. Thermal Energy is much different than Ki energy. |

You could always assumed Saiyan's heat resistance rise along with their power. Just saying. |

Except when the best heat resistance feat we have is rocket fuel, and the only statements shows characters getting bothered at much lower temperatures. Besides can you quantify the heat of a solar system? Chances are that you'd have to say that the Solar System is VERY cold, as space is a vacuum and thus does not carry heat without things like radiation. Which still gets you nowhere and puts you at if anything Ki being a very cold thing. Edited by Goddess Ultimecia, May 29 2014, 06:59 PM.

I wouldn't say bothered but noted. Goku was at ease in there after all, don't know about Gohan. |

............................................. ki is still energy is it not? heat was shown to burn when Piccolo was training gohan and he started a fire with his ki but that does not matter energy is still energy some are different from others but at the end of the day it's still energy Just like the sun sure it may look different from ki blasts but they are still types of energy just in different forms and they both can be measured |

While it is still "energy" in a broad sense, there is different kinds of energy of which Ki takes from. Let's start eh? -Kinetic -Mechanical -Sound -Thermal -Chemical -Electrical -Gravitational -Radiant And each one of these affects you in different ways. You're liable to be punctured or crushed with enough Kinetic energy. You're liavble to be turned to dust with enough Thermal Energy, you're likely to have your brain or even head explode with an overload of sound energy, some radiant energies we can't even percieve with our eyes, others completely blind us, with enough gravitational energy you'll be grinded into bonemeal. They all act in different ways, blanketing it and saying X character can withstand X joules of X energy because he can take X joules of X type of energy isn't the way to go about things. Turning grass on fire I can do with a lighter...it's not impressive. |

So i'll ask this again if a guy has galaxy lvl durability and shown no resistance to heat you think your're going to kill him with a lighter becuase it's heat although that same heat is still energy that can be measured in joules? Edited by King Kakarot, May 29 2014, 07:18 PM.

it's obvious then that Ki doesn't operate in the way normal energy works then. Because If these ki attacks are as fast as they are and as destructive as they are they should be making core of the sun levels of heat but it's quite obvious they do not. Unless they can control the amount of heat they put into it and when they explode they somehow defy physics and stop the heat from creating other explosions in addition to the small ki explosions. Hell their little ki balls should be taking out entire countries do to the size of them and the supposed heat they carry. No matter how much ki they control they have no control of the heat's aftereffects. |

yes i understand that ki attacks aren't hotter than the sun but they still carry energy just like the sun but it's called thermal energy which STILL is measured in joules still waiting for my question to be answered do you think you can kill a guy with galaxy lvl durability with a regular lighter you can buy at the store becuase it's heat?
