Plus, it looks like Piccolo has probably been training the hardest out of Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo. Goku has been learning IT, Vegeta has been becoming accustomed to life as a human and Piccolo has just been grinding it out.

I think Goku made some huge gains too at that point, but I agree on Piccolo making the hardest gains. You can tell that on EoDB , Saiyan and Namek Arc his gains weren't pretty huge. But after fusing with Nail, he gains were really huge.

Go look for yourself.
