So... are any of you excited? Mad like me? Or just don't give damn?

And did anyone catch Cooler's Revenge on Toonami last night? They used the japanese music! Eeeww. It's like Toonami is being run by a buncha friggin weeaboos or something.

I'm a tad neutral about it considering that we don't know if it's the Boo Arc or the first part of Kai. Chances are, it's the first part of Kai, so I could go either way.

Really? You're calling them weaboos for preferrring the Japanese soundtrack?

The varied orchestral (with some guitars) Japanese soundtrack is much better than Bruce Faulconer's Soundtrack, which is just all synthesize guitars, making the music just generic rock music.

I mean, sure, you're allowed to have your opinion, but don't go calling people weaboos for using the Japanese soundtrack.

Also, what is so angering about them airing Kai, explain.

Personally, I prefer Bruce's score but I will admit the original score had a lot of good tracks.

As for Kai, i'm looking forward to FUNi's Buu Kai dub. Their original Buu Z dub was one of their best works when they were still in the process of dubbing Z.

FATHER! THE BAIT HAS BEEN TAKEN!

Varied?! I f***ing LAUGH at the orchestra music the japanese use. It's so stupid in how it tries to make DBZ for sophisticated and "classy" than it is.

And what the f*** is up with all the breaks in music?! You'd rather have boring wind sound effects/silence than great music like The Deftones, Dust For Life, Disturbed!!! The japanese music sucks and doesn't fit in the slightest. That "generic" rock music fits so much better.

Sometimes silence is needed, to show hopelessness, or peace, or other things depending.

The Bruce Faulconer soundtrack is different from those bands that you gave. It's just random notes on guitar basically.

Here's how it is with the Brce Faulconer music:

Action moments- generic rock music

Comedy moments- generic rock music

Sad moments- generic rock music

Happy moments- generic rock music

Every other moment- generic rock music.

I have nothing against rock music, in fact I like rock music, but Bruce Faulconer's is just a bunch of guitars playing over and over, and it's boring in my opinion.

With the Japaese soundtrack it has a greater range of instruments, and songs.

I'm not excited, but more of hoping they don't screw this up and fixes the mistakes and have this arc as it should be.

Your blowing things way out of proportion here.

Bruce's soundtrack isn't nearly as bad as you make it out to be. If you think all of his tracks are just generic rock music, then you need to have a look at his score again.

I better get cable down in Tulsa, then. I'm somewhat looking forward to this, if just for the nostalgia.

I also thought the FUNimation soundtrack for Movie 5 was really good and fit just fine, unlike in Movie 8 where it added nothing to the scenes.

The crappy old DBZ "broadcast dub" is dead. Long live the not-sucky Kai dub.

Anyway, totally looking forward to re-watching Kai every week along with One Piece. If they're starting from the "beginning" and running all the way through, then maybe they'll be able to just slide right in to the Boo arc whenever it becomes available.

Dragon Ball Z Kai is only worth the watch if you're just starting Dragon Ball with the lack of fillers and much better dub...

If you happen to live in Japan, in every way, it's a complete joke since Toei could have easily reanimated it and it would have costed them jack.

It's a shameful excuse for milking and it's really the only thing I hate that came out of Dragon Ball besides the Evolution movie.
