I don't know about the off-topic going thing , but people having Base Saiyans < Frieza needs to stop immediately. That argument ruins the whole show same goes for Piccolo sensing Kaioshin , or Dabura sensing shet while he can't making it to a Base Saiyans > Piccolo thing.

The latter ones may be too offensive , but come at me.
I think they were only weaker up until the Boo Arc.
Since zenkai don't seem to happen after Super Saiyan, we can't expect them to get ridiculous gains after that time.

...But, I'm also one of those folks who believe that Base and Super Saiyan power aren't linked, and can be increased independently from each other. Of course... it's to a degree.

How are you going to explain the Base kids <~ 18 then if you have Base Saiyans surpassing Frieza after Cell Arc.

Not that I believe that myself, but it's entirely possible.

She doesn't know she's fighting a guy with super powers, she knows she's fighting a guy with strange powers. I believe she has full control on the situation and adjusts her powers after her opponent.

She doesn't have control in the fight as trying to find out the secret of the strange fighter. If she wants the prize money , there should be no reason for her to hold back all the time.

You think a fighter below Frieza would survive the hits from 18?

#18 (Full Power) > #18 (13.456%) > Freeza > Base Kids

That all depends on interpretation. Vegeta (Saiyan arc) could have trouble controlling his power at that point. Heck, everybody had trouble controlling their powers.
