Alright, I wanted to post this because of SS's thread. We have beliefs/opinions that change over time, but what are some things that are constantly debated in the DB world? A few to start off with; Base Saiyans > Piccolo or Piccolo > Base Saiyans. Base Gotenks (Post) > SSj Gotenks (Pre) or the the opposite. Piccolo's power during the Cell Games. I agree with Emmeth. Base Kids~18 really honestly makes no sense at all, and that horse has been beat to death. I don't think people are ever going to agree on this one. People believing that SSj2 Vegeta (pre Majin) was weaker than SSj2 Gohan (Cell Games). To be fair, we honestly have no evidence for this because we never see pre-majin SSj2 from Vegeta, but on the other hand, there's nothing to suggest that Gohan needs to be stronger. How strong Pre Gotenks is when compared to SSj3 Goku. Most people seem to believe that SSj Gotenks during this time is stronger... I personally don't believe this. Just to add... multipliers for Super Saiyan seems to be another belief that people aren't willing to live without (whatever their multipliers may be). Just my two cents, but I can't accept that they were as strong as her. Of course the costume argument and the "if she was going full out" argument has been beat to death. I personally believe at this point in time, if she had been going full out, and the kids hadn't had the costume on, I don't believe that they would've won, but it's for a few different factors and not just her being physically stronger. Obviously her experience and the kids inability to sense her would both play into the victory as well. I believe that the only way that there's the possibility of them being stronger is if you have a 10x multiplier for Super Saiyan, and not a 50x one. |

I don't think there's any problem with the base kids rivaling No. 18, though I personally give the overall advantage to No. 18. The battle in the manga supports them being relatively close to her despite their handicap and the guidebooks also support them being near her as well. As for the SSJ2 Pre-Majin Vegeta business. There's just more implication that Gohan is stronger than Vegeta. It's pretty much a point that Gohan is at the very least put in the same category as SSj2 Majin Vegeta/SSj2 Goku.While Pre-Majin Vegeta wasn't. You can make up as much stuff about how right or wrong Piccolo is but in the end, Pre-Majin Vegeta isn't given any statements that could be comparable the way Gohan was compared to them. I see it simply as: Pre-Majin Vegeta: Hey you're weaker than Goku. SSj2 Kid Gohan: Hey...you might be near Goku. It might put Vegeta at somewhat of a rivaling level to Gohan but I just don't see anything that actually indicates that he's stronger. |

I really like this. This is perhaps the most logical chain that I've ever seen.
That's actually something that I didn't really consider. Vegeta seems to make no hesitations about claiming that him and Goku were stronger than SSj2 Gohan (TB Arc), and that Gohan was noticeably stronger as a kid. This pretty much suggests that Cell Era Gohan's SSj2 did not have what we would refer to as an "initial SSj2 power", and that he was actually considerably stronger. However, if I remember correctly, something worth mentioning is that Vegeta said that Goku was stronger than Gohan, but never specified if he was stronger than Cell Games Gohan. For all we know, SSj2 Goku and Cell Games SSj2 Gohan could actually be the same power. |

The Daiz states that Gohan was able to get an extra rage boost on top of his SSJ2 power which would explain why he was able to power up so much. Goku and Vegeta didn't have that luxury so they only got the standard SSJ2 boost. With that in mind, it's perfectly fesaible to have Base Pre-Majin Vegeta > Base CG Gohan and still have SSJ2 CG Gohan > SSJ2 Pre-Majin Vegeta OT: Just the normal things like Base Saiyans/Kaioshin/Piccolo/Frieza discussion, Broly discussion, Gotenks discussion, as well as GT discussion (whether or not it was good, canon, etc...) |

Well it would seem to make sense that Vegeta is referring to Cell Games Gohan. It's already been heavily implied that Vegeta is already stronger than Adult SSJ2 Gohan whom was already weaker than SSJ2 Goku. Add in Piccolo's line about Vegeta being possibly stronger than Gohan and its seems pretty clear that they're referring to Kid Gohan all the way. It gets confusing because both Goku and Vegeta remark that if Gohan gets angry they don't know what could happen. It implies that Gohan is at this point is significantly weaker than them, can actually get potentially stronger than them all. One could make the argument that... SSj2 Kid Gohan (Killing Cell)>SSj2 Adults>SSj2 Kid Gohan>SSJ2 Adult Gohan. Where Gohan killing Cell was essentially Gohan at his most powerful and giving everything he has. It implies that a boost (not just in KHH amplification) but in rage as well was given by that point. Which if you think about it, does make a bit of sense. For one, if Kid Gohan is rivaling Zenkai Cell, taking over 50% of damage from what was apparently uncharged attack, even unguarded is spectacular. I don't recall a single time where two opponents were near each other, or even more so one being debatably even stronger took that much damage from such an attack. It really helps to imply that Gohan at the end is getting this huge boost of power and that power is noticeably stronger than his natural form. This is noticed by Goku and Vegeta and so they make remarks. Adult Gohan is relatively weak but if he gets that same kind of increase he did when fighting against Cell, things could be different. |

I know. That's why it's perfectly fine to have Pre-Majin Vegeta stronger in Base yet weaker as an SSJ2. |
