| Can V-Jump Scans actually work? | |

Is it even possible to work out the ridiculous numbers for Gogeta and Broly for the PL's we were given in the V-Jump scans? Broly being 1,400,000,000 is extremely small but i've seen minimalists make even smaller PL's for him. The big problem is that this would require SSJ Broly to be less than 1,000,000,000 and MSSJ Goku to be much lower than that since RSSJ Broly was stated to be stronger than him potentially putting him around 500,000,000-700,000,000. Granted this is M8 Broly of course because if this was M10 Broly, it would be even more harder to work with. What really irks me is that they have SSJ Gogeta at 2,500,000,000 which would mean... - Goku and Vegeta barely got any stronger from the Frieza Saga to the Buu Saga - Goku and Vegeta's RoSaT gains were poop - The Fusion boost is only A + B Which ever way you slice it, the V-Jump scans are extremely illogical and hardly make any sense. Most fan-made PL's I come across are much more consistent then these IMO. Edited by Yusuke, May 13 2014, 05:42 PM.

I don't think they work, just too much non-sense & they were made for a Video-Game release so they can work as their stats in the game, l0l. |

The somewhat interesting way I see it, each individual one could work on its own, but doing so would require drastically different rates of power growth for the heroes over the course of the series, so they can't really all work together. Though lining things up with my numbers, 470 million works great for Metal Coola (at his strongest), 1.4 billion works well enough for regular Super Saiyan Broli (in movie 8), and 2.5 billion could probably work for base Gogeta. The problem with that is they clearly show SSJ Gogeta as 2.5 Billion, LSSJ Broly (Most likely M10 Broly) as 1.4 Billion and 5th Form Cooler as 470 Million in the scans. Which ever way you scale the PL's, all these official numbers won't be able to work out without using some weird logic like Goku barely gets any stronger in the 11 years between Frieza and Buu. Cooler's PL IMO is okay because I actually have him lower than that. Edited by Yusuke, May 13 2014, 06:54 PM.

Didn't they also have a power level for kid buu lower than the one they gave broly? |

I guess so, Budokai 3 portrays LSSJ Broly as the strongest DBZ villain in the game where everyone knows that's not the case. Same thing with Kid Buu > Super Buu In terms of powerscalling for the villains in the game, it goes like... Omega Shenron > LSSJ Broly > Kid Buu > Super Buu > Cell > Frieza |

Yeah, I know. I was just observing out that those numbers could fit other forms or stages of the characters better. |

I see, IMO, 2,500,000,000 is a bit low for Base Gogeta if you believe in Vegito >= Gogeta seeing as Vegito was in between SSJ2 Gotenks-Buuhan level. Otherwise, it might work out well. |

No, they can't really work, and here's why. Gogeta's base power level would be 50,000,000 if it operated under the usual 50 times base. We cannot assume fusion is just A + B because if that were the case, SSJ2 Vegeta or Goku would be equal to SSJ Gogeta, which doesn't work since SSJ3 Goku couldn't even beat Janenba, and Gogeta couldn't even be budged by Janenba. At the barest of minimums, fusion has to be at least A + B x 5. Using that, Goku and Vegeta's base power levels would be 5,000,000, and it's likely that fusion is a much bigger multiplier since Janenba couldn't, again, even budge Super Gogeta. That and, SSJ3 Goku would be close to as strong as Gogeta if Goku's base level was 5,000,000(SSJ3 Goku: 2,000,000,000/Super Gogeta: 2,500,000,000). Even assuming this were somehow good enough, really? Goku only got 66% stronger since Namek? Sorry, but that doesn't work. Goku had to have gotten twice as strong as post ROSAT Vegeta since Goku's half power made him crap his pants. That means Goku's base power level bare minimum is 6,000,000+, and that's not even taking into consideration SSJ Grade 2.

They numbers might work if you use minimalist gains with addition method. I once saw a list where someone had SSJ3 Gotenks only 2x SSJ3 Goku due to making everything addition. |

Quick question: I just want to make sure, v jump is generally not a very reliable source is it? |

You'd be better off with fanmade PL's IMO. Except the ones that have SSJ4 Gogeta below 1 Billion. Wouldn't want to use those lists in any case lol. |

Well, it may be official, but it was directed toward the video games so these should honestly be taken with a grain of salt based on that. |

Yeah, these numbers specifically are from an article about a game. But V-Jump has been the source for other series-specific power levels too, namely some famous Freeza-arc ones. http://www.kanzenshuu.com/battle-power/databook/ |
