There was fair interest in this interview and two threads were made today. Since it is only fair to merge the two threads, I did.

... Keep discussing, peeps :)

So........Why did Buu obey Bibidi if he is stronger than him ?

Because Bidibi knew how to seal him up.

And this yet again backs up the idea that Buu absorbed the Kaioshin to gain a heart on purpose, and it had nothing to do with power.

And absorbing the evil of mankind appears to be taken too literally.

He explored the cosmos and witnessed both the good and bad of all that exists. Unfortunately, the bad rubbed off on him. This is actually a pretty good theme in that children are only as evil or good as their surroundings, and Buu was very much the child.

Except it doesn't say that Boo absorbed the evil elements from around the universe, it specifically states that he absorbed the evil elements of mankind. And mankind only exists in one location and that's Earth.

Bro fist, like what kaboom said, toriyama said "although the kaioshins thought this... This happened". What we read in the manga is only what everyone thought. Give the guy a break too, he just started getting back into the series and he's being asked the questions on the spot. He isn't able to just whip out quotes and other stuff to go by. As for the whole "mankind" stuff, look at people like saiyans and recoome. They're practically humans. He could be referring to races in general. Idk, I think it's nitpicking a little if you disregard what says because he says "mankind". Mankind does mean humans though so idk lol

What I'm confused about though is this: he basically said it isn't worth using ssj 2 and 3 anymore because he gets the biggest gains from mastering ssj1 so he probably won't use ssj2 and 3 anymore. He also said that ssj2 and 3 are strictly powered up versions of ssj1. So why can't goku start mastering ssj2 and then ssj3?

Yeah I also agree with Kaboom. Toriyama specifically stated that Sumpreme Kai was mistaken so it's not like he forgot about it. Since SK is fairly young, it's explainable how this could work.

The only thing that bugs me is the explanation's of the Kai but as Ssj3vegito96 said this is an interview where he has questions bombarded at him from left and right and unlike us he doesn't have every volume of dragonball and the time to research info on the spot. Cut him some slack.

I don't see what's the big deal, so Buu ended up being not a creation of Bibidi...so what? I think this changes a lot of things, not your everyday creation gone bad, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if Buu ends up being a past or perhaps the first God of destruction lol

Humans also only exist on Earth, but in Dragon Ball they're all over the universe.

So, I follow the link presented in the opening post... and I cannot find the one piece of information I was actually hoping to see: Android 17 and 18's pre-Gero names.

I found the information posted by a member of Kanzenshuu in a completely unrelated topic but would like to know where that information came from if it isn't in that translated interview.

Spoiler: click to toggle

As for the other information presented... I'm simply not interested in manga-contradicting lore... or the exciting news that SSJ2/3 are getting shunned... or Birusu [and his apparent intricate involvement in anything important] getting constantly shoved in my face...

I enjoyed the honest and vague response given to 18 & Krillin's love story... but none of this information will affect how I interpret the original manga.

Goku endlessly keeps getting stronger, with Super Saiyan 3 in the manga and Super Saiyan 4 in the anime; does Super Saiyan keep getting limitlessly stronger too? Might we eventually see things such as a Super Saiyan 5?!

Super Saiyan 2 and 3 are nothing more than powered-up variations of Super Saiyan. After the fight with Beerus, Goku realized that mastering his normal state and Super Saiyan would raise his level more and sap less strength, so I think he probably wont become Super Saiyan 2 or 3 any more.

That d mean in futures movies goku's ssj will be far stronger than his "current "ssj3?

Android 17s real name is Lapis, while Android 18 is Lazuli. They were human siblings before becoming Androids. After the Cell Saga, Android 17 was revived with the Dragon Balls and became a park ranger at a nature preserve. He makes a great living, marries a zoologist, and adopts two children. Of course, we all know Android 18 marries Kuririn after the Cell Saga and has a daughter named Marron.

That's so amazingly stupid that it goes from being horrible to kind of entertaining. Part of me actually hopes this is true. This would be far more entertaining and interesting than reading about all this bull**** contradictions on Boo and the Kaioshins.

AT should be adding stuff to his universe not trying to change it up, especially unnecessary changes. Instead of contradicting his entire work perhaps he should give us more important things like:

1.) Southern Kaioshin and his involvements

2.) SSJ Gohan against Dabura

3.) Why did Super Boo change into Kid instead of Aku Boo

At this point we might as well put it down as

"Kaioshin is a dumb**** who knows jack and we can't take anything he says seriously."

Really every single thing Kaioshin has said is now apparently false. Boo is no longer Bibidi's creation. There are only 3 Kaioshin's now. I suppose at this point for every statement Kaioshin makes let's just put a huge fart noise over it because at this point, is it anything else? Mind you I don't like Kaioshin either but I have enough faith in him to think he's less ignorant and moronic than Gotenks.

I feel like the names 17 and 18 supposedly have gotten makes sense. They are kinda like Ying and Yang in a mineral sort of way, which cyborgs can be categorized in.

Well, all the new 17 and 18 stuff has been translated by the gods among men at Kanzenshuu. While most of the big stuff we've been discussing was from an interview in Saikyo Jump, these tidbits are from his short Q&A sessions in the full-color comics.

Highlights:

- Toriyama reiterates Mr. Satan's true name of "Mark," while again stressing that this is his ONLY name, since the region he's from doesn't split names up into first and last.

- 17 and 18's real names are "Lapis" and "Lazuli." These names come from a semi-precious stone known for its deep blue color, fitting with their Red Ribbon Army origins.

- We already knew that 17 and 18 were a special type of human-based Android who received their power through some sort of biological manipulation (rather than a mechanical battery or reactor of some sort). Toriyama reveals that this means A) they can get stronger through training (!!!), B) they don't need to eat but do need to drink for hydration, and C) their cells deteriorate very slowly, causing them to age very slowly too.

- 17 apparently settled down as a park ranger in a large wildlife preserve area, where he lives happily married to a biologist, with two adopted kids and one kid of their own.

I am horribly offended.

On a serious note, I like the names he gave to No.17 and No.18.

They can get stronger trough training? Ehh...

They age very slowly? Kind of cool, a little miserable though. No.18, knowing she's going to out-live her husband and child but still die one day. Ouch.
