Who takes this fight? Personally, I have the two as equals.

NOTE: Goku can not use SSJ3 in this fight.

Wouldn't Goku be the same as in the anime? I haven't seen the movie in ages, but I got the impression he wasn't much different from his anime counterpart. Post-Sword Gohan tears him apart.

"I am the bone of my sword."

SSJ3 Goku was kicking the absolute *** out of a guy who was at the very least, stronger than Fat Boo and quite potentially depending on how you look at it, stronger than Initial Super Boo. For sake of argument I'm going with the Fat Boo part as that makes the most to me. So how this goes in the long run with SSj2 Movie 12 Goku and Gohan I don't know right so I'll let you decide on that yourselves.

I have Fat Janemba > Initial Super Buu So SSJ3 Goku beating the daylight out of Janemba means s really haxed.

I personally think Goku can take this with his skill since I have them as equals.

He was capable of beating the daylight out of someone who was stronger than Fat Buu (arguably Initial Super Buu which I happen to believe) where as his canon counterpart was only mildly stronger than Fat Buu. He even tells Vegeta that theirs a gap between them even after Vegeta got his Majin boost.

gotta give it to gohan. ssj2 post z sword gohan was compared to fat buu. that means he's in the same realm of power as ssj3 goku. since this movie looks like it took place within a year or two of the buu arc, there's no way goku got that much more powerful. with no ssj3, gohan stomps. with ssj3, goku stomps. either way, this isn't a fight, it's a slaughter.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

for those that blindly follow word of god
