Is that also up to your personal preference? Well. Easily the manga is canon even though db doesn't have canon. Basically the original manga + what u want besides movies(Toriyama called them a separate dimension) + BoG(due to Toriyama statements) + The BGM xD I honestly think that it's a stretch to say that Dragon Ball has no cannon. Yes it is debated about a lot, but most people at least agree that every part of the original manga is cannon. So there is one, it's just constantly under debate in some areas. I've seen Minus Bardock, compared to Father of Goku and Episode of Bardock, and the changes are pretty minor. Only changes I can spot are the shoulder and leg plates.
