The Daiz states that Gohan gets extra power through rage so does that mean SSJ2 Kid Gohan (With Rage) >> SSJ2 Kid Gohan (Without Rage)? It would only make sense seeing Gohan got a major boost in power when he transformed. That would also mean that Pre-Majin Vegeta can be stronger than Kid Gohan but he has not surpassed SSJ2 Kid Gohan with his rage boost. I would end up with something like this... Firefox Favourite Manga Dragon Ball, Fullmetal Alchemist, Assassination Classroom, Deadman Wonderland	I've always believed that Gohan got an additional rage boost in SSj2 when he fought Cell, which explained why he was so much stronger than everyone else. It also seems that he was likely over 2x his MSSj self (the suggested multiplier), which is likely a result of his rage. It's also directly stated in one of the official guides (might've been the Daiz, I can't recall) that his noticeable lapse in power at the TB could possibly have been because of his lack of rage in SSj2, and not that his form was actually weaker than it would've been during the Tenkaichi Budokai. It's also rather vague, but Goku also states that Gohan's rage makes him stronger as he suggests to Gohan to get angry against Boo because "no one would be able to beat (him)." Gohan refuses, of course.
	The vengeance is her's for as long as she stands by Him.

Posts: 12,330 Group: Retired Staff Member #6,446 Joined: July 3, 2011 Gender Not Specified Country None	I like to view Goku's comment to Gohan as a suggestion to try tapping into the rage to transform, as the SSJ2 transformation at the Budokai was pretty much retconned. As for rage boosts, I'd probably say that they don't cause any increase in power in SSJ2. If we look at all of Gohan's noticeable rage boosts in the past, his his pupils are white and the anger takes complete control. Gohan as a SSJ2, while having increased aggression, was more cocky than anything, not really exhibiting any of the features of his previous rage boosts.

Safari Favourite Manga Bleach	I think gohan's hidden power and the SSJ forms work differently. In the past gohan's power would increase exponentially when he became angry. From my understanding, due to already being at such a high level of power and achieving MSSJ, his hidden powered served as a catalyst for the initial SSJ2 transformation. Had Gohan's hidden power surfaced earlier, it would have initiated his SSJ transformation as opposed to his ssj2.

I interpret the first SSJ2 transformation to be Gohan's anger realized... just as Goku's was on Namek... (though sometimes I wonder who he's really angry at). There's no "rage boost" on top of the transformation... the transformation was the result of the rage. I feel like this theory is forced for two reasons: People wanting to abide by the SEG multiplier of SSJ2 = 2xSSJ... but not accepting 2x to be a sufficient gap for all that happens (power ups, injuries etc) To allow Goku/Vegeta greater gains during the 7 year gap There are other ways around such things... no need to Pimp his Transformation and give him a rage boost on top of his rage boost.

But anyway, Gohan getting rage boost vs Cell is implied in their khh battle as well as in the buu saga. And Gohan did seem pretty angry against Cell. He went from not wanting to fight him to wanting to torture the guy. Not even Goku was like that when he first turned ssj on namek. He even showed frieza mercy. Far cry from Gohan vs cell. Kaioshin didnt forget anything. He references gohan transforming at the budokai right before yakon comes out. His caution of pui pui was because Pui Pui could not be sensed, and he was surprised at base vegeta because he didnt know they were that strong in their normal forms. He underestimated the base saiyans.

Essentially, he got a double boost of sorts, Gohan-patented rage boost and SSJ2 During the tournament 7 years later, he is able to go SSJ2 (somehow) without anger which is why Vegeta and Goku are still not impressed
	We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.
