He didn't call us a*****, he called Kanzenshuu a***** (Possibly even referring to only that PenguinTruth guy).
No, he inferred that we were a*****. Kazenshuu was never mentioned.

The Assassin

He simply responded that he doesn't like talking to a**holes

And I don't think anybody here is taking it personally really, I think people just dislike the fact that he implied that we were just like a bunch of internet trolls he had bumped into on another forum.

When did this happen? I must be thinking of a different post :/ I'm talking about the one he put on Facebook as a reply to The Assassin's request for him to join here.

Kanzenshuu probably gave him the impression that people on forums in general are mean

From the experiences he had on Kazenshuu, he probably assumed that it would be the same here. I'd still be very happy to have him here and hope he joins.

Reality is, he'd probably have a similar experience here.

He is kinda famous, when it comes to Anime, so any site he's on, there's gonna be arseholes and arsekissers.

Don't want to say that'd be the same with DBZF, but it'll prolly happen.

Why would he have a similar experience here? I've never seen anyone being A holes here during my stay

Stay around a bit longer then. :p

I was once on a wrestling forum (Based on the SmackDown vs Raw series) and an employee working on the game from THQ, joined the forum. Since he announced his registration on Facebook and Twitter, a bunch of arseholes started s*** straight after he joined. The rest of the people were kissing up to him too.

If it could happen to a developer, who isn't really that famous, imagine what would happen to the voice of Goku.

Like I said before, if people are going to be a**holes, they'll get warned/banned before they can carry on with their nonsense.

There's no reason to believe that would happen.

^ Exactly this, if there are people being a***** then they will be dealt with accordingly.

I'm a fan of the Dragonball franchise, but no person who is involved with the production of it is better than any of us. If he really thinks we're a***** even before getting to know us, is it even worth it? I welcome Sean like any other member on this forum, but I'm not gonna treat him as a god regardless.
I agree with you, but it would be nice to have him around.

The only thing I would say, which I mentioned in another thread, is that he used to be post at/join the IRC chatroom of the old Planet Namek site (this was late 90's/early 2000's). He used to hang in the main chat, #namek, which is primarily where I interacted with him, and it went pretty well from what I remember. That said, the Internet was a different place back then, and he hadn't been burned by bad experiences with "fans" yet either.

But, there are pretty easy ways to deal with trolls:
1. Don't let users browse the site with proxies (TOR specifically). Your average idiot can download the TOR browser bundle, but they're not smart enough to disguise their proxy.
2. If a user keeps posting from different IPs (or a VPN), kindly ask them to quit using whatever anonymizing service they rely on while browsing.
3. IP ban them if all else fails.

Doing that may not stop a really sophisticated troll, but they're going to have to spend hours to maybe get off one post with a duplicate account that you can just delete before banning them anyway. Either way, they wasted hours of their life to make a harassing post no one will see. It's actually a lot easier to police a messageboard than Twitter or Facebook, since they are too swamped with users to take those precautions.

And just how often do we have these kind of people here on DBZF? I don't even remember seeing anyone rude or bothersome in DBZF and everyone here isn't the type to troll or anything.

As a matter of fact, I don't even remember seeing one-person of this type.

I've seen them, but they are rare. But as stated before, these people would be dealt with quickly.

I remember when that "Broly and Hercule fusion" was trolling the versus section.

People like him are my main concern.
