Why Saibamen are actually more useful than Raditz

Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

Inspired from the Raditz vs. Yamcha thread, this topic briefly lists why Saibamen (at least the Earth-grown variety) are actually (surprisingly?) more useful than Raditz

Argument --

1) Self-Explosion: This attack mechanism managed to fell an opponent that beat him before. Has an element of surprise and fatality

2) No Tail Weakness: Pretty self-explanatory

Counterargument --

1) Raditz's Oozaru state

Countering the counter --

Fair enough, but if they're fast enough, they can chop if off. Also, he's not an elite so he has to hope for the moon being there.

Closing statement: "Oh I broked it Vegeta! It must've been made out of something weak like paper machie or Raditz"

Yeah, that's basically my view on it. The Saibamen's Self Destruct makes them more powerful in the long run, especially since they're easy to make

If they're only main use is self-destrcution, then I wouldn't completely agree. Raditz would be more skilled in combat than a Saibaman which I think would be more useful in some cases than self-destruction.

You lose the entire purpose with that self-destruct if you're going to die as well, that's just useless. Raditz is stronger, faster, skilled, experienced, he has hands and fingers with which he can grab opponents etc. Saibamen are midgets that are even dumber than Kid Boo. I probably responded way too seriously to this joke thread.

Yeah you did

Anyway, this is actually half joke, half truth honestly.

Since they can be (mass) produced, the cons of self-destruction are outweighed, making it more valuable for equal powered opponents

True, but if Raditz is crippled, he's finished and useless. If a Saibamen is crippled, it can blow itself up and still take down some foes. It also had it's Acid Spray technique, very useful.

And again, mass production can be useful, see China
