We all know how Cell claims that he, or rather his Kamehameha has enough power to destroyed the entire solar system. But exactly how would Cell go about doing it? The most common explanation I've seen is, "Well, he'll just aim the blast at the Sun and it would then explode and destroy every planet". But logically speaking, Cell can't make the Sun go boom. The Sun is not even remotely close to being massive enough to undergo Supernova. The Sun is just a hot ball of gas with no solid surface, his blast would most likely just pass right through it, or the heat will just disintegrate the blast. So exactly how would he be able to destroy the solar system? Any thoughts?

Although that would take an absolute massive radius to complete the task. Otherwise I'm in agreement with you. Non-canon sources also show that a KHH to the sun doesn't affect it. I also seem to remember Cooler being blasted into the sun along with his supernova, now Cooler might be nothing compared to Cell, but if that supernova did absolutely nothing then I guess neither would Cell's kamehameha

Sort of like the Buu blast that killed every human.

Cell: “I’ve already gathered enough ki power to blow away not only the Earth, but the solar system as well!” Option 1: He'll huff and he'll puff and he'll blow it the f*** down. Option 2: He'll displace enough of it to the point that it's not a solar system any more. Could be through hitting the sun, could be just in one massive explosion. I don't have much of a problem with the sun option as ki can obviously push things, a wide enough blast could take down its structural integrity. Option 3: He'll blow up the whole thing at once. Kinda think Toriyama was going with this one when he wrote it. Option 4: Crash should stop talking DBZ and sit quietly in the corner.

IMO like american comics, things said and done in comics often just dont make sense and go against the law of physics

I'm curious, please enlighten me how he'd be able to do that? Literally the only way to "destroy" a star (supernova excluded) is to like decompose iron nuclei into helium nuclei and force electrons and protons to merge, producing neutrons and neutrinos, which would pretty much destroy the core. I was thinking about that as well, Toriyama basically saying "f*** you" to the laws of physics. Or maybe the Sun in the DB-verse is just completely different from ours? Who knows.

Also the color of the sun is all you need to know that the sun in Dragon Ball is in the same classification as our sun. Basically a supernova isnt possible no matter what you do, unless the energy beam is actually a beam of compressed helium and is sent directly to the core of the sun and stays there without blowing up... but you dont need to know anything about science to know that this scenario is pretty stupid. Saying that blowing up the sun is the same as the solar system is the same as saying that blowing up America is the same as blowing up every major city in Europe... If he meant the sun he would say the sun...
