What are your favorite superhero films?

Mine are (not in order):

•X2: X-Men United
I really liked this one because it dealt a lot with Wolverine's past while not losing focus on everyone else, and in my eyes (besides First Class) it's the true X-Men movie.

•The Dark Knight Trilogy
I love all of these movies because, well what Batman fan doesn't?

•Spider-Man 2
I loved Peter Parkers dealing with being Spider-Man and his inner conflict, and the bada** fights.

•Iron Man
It was the beginning of the whole Avengers initiative and it was so kicka**. I love Tony Starks character, and RDJ plays him perfectly.

•The Avengers
Do I need to explain this one...? I mean, it's the movie I think every comic book lover has been waiting for since day one. Joss Whedon nailed it.

•Man of Steel
We finally got a Superman that could kick some serious a**. The fights looked great, and I liked the way the movie was structured with the flashbacks. The story was good, and the characters had motivation for what they did. Also, Henry Cavill is the best Supes we've had since Reeves IMO.

Agree? Disagree?

Most superhero movies suck in my opinion. That's why I was so turned away from superhero comics for the longest time. But The Dark Knight trilogy was good, and the new Amazing Spider-Man movie looks good. Other than that, I can't say I've really loved any, especially not anything Iron Man or Avengers related.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I much prefer the DC related ones like Superman and Batman they're a lot more serious and kind of dark, the Marvel ones generally seem like they're for children too not a more mature audience.

They're still good but Marvel focuses on comedy too much I think. Or should I say Disney because the X-Men films are generally good and so is the new Spiderman.

Anyway if I had to pick a few favourites, in no particular order:

Batman Begins
Man of Steel
X-Men First Class
X-2
Amazing Spiderman
Watchmen

And then a semi favourite, Spiderman 3. I really liked it but all the Mary Jane stuff was just so boring and there was never any chemistry between the actors really so a movie with like an hour of romance was bleh. Foghts and everything else were awesome, guy who played Venom did a superb job...although he'd be better as Carnage since he was crazy.

Batman Returns. I love it's music, I love the script, I love Danny Devito and Christopher Walken.

The Avengers. Great film that gave all it's main characters decent screen time except Iron Man who had a bit too much in my opinion.

The Incredibles. Absolutely amazing film.

Watchmen. It was a good adaptation of the graphic novel that could have easily gone horribly wrong. It was how super powered beings would probably be if they were real.

I really enjoyed Watchmen as well, a lot of critics gave it flack but I never understood why. It was a really good retelling of the graphic novel and Snyder did an awesome job directing it, and the acting was superb

The rest

Honorable Mentions:

X-Men

Dishonorable Mentions:

Spiderman 3 Just saw it with my younger brother, it's not as bad as I remembered
X-Men Origins: Wolverine -- for what they did to Deadpool
Hulk (The Original, not the Incredible Hulk) -- Boring

The Dark Knight Trilogy
These three superb films are almost like one act structures on their own, yet they are each their own complete movie.

Batman Begins -> Act I: Fear
The Dark Knight -> Act II: Chaos
The Dark Knight Rises - > Act III: Pain

There is no need for any more films, the Dark Knight Trilogy is complete. These films are the best supehero films ever made.[

And here's a list of more of my top supehero films:

Watchmen
Man of Steel
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
X-Men: First Class
Kick-Ass
Iron Man
Spider-man 2
X2: X-Men United

You're right about V for Vendetta, I'm just used to adding to my favorite comic book film lists.

As for Kick-Ass, I have to disagree. Kick-Ass is a "superhero" in his comic and films, as is Hit-Girl. I don't want to get into a big dicussion about this, but I consider Kick-Ass to be a superhero film.

V for Vendetta isn't a superhero film. Neither is Kick a***.
Then neither are any of the Batman movies or Captain America as they are just dudes :p

Although the Cap is super in that he has almost limitless stamina.

V is inhumanly strong and resistant to pain, he's kind of like Darkman so he sort of is super just doesn't have any powers.

Will Smith was...ehhhh, but I actually quite liked Hancock. It was cool how he was superhuman but just some drunk a***** for the most part, it could have been way better but I liked the ideas they had there.

1. The dark knight
2. The dark knight rises
3. Captain america 2
4. Batman begins
5: man of steel

Even though all but one of them are DC movies, I still think marvel is better at making movies. DC tried using a character other than batman and superman cough green lantern cough and look how bad it turned out

V is super powered but he isn't a hero. Heck I wouldn't even call him an anti hero. He's a complete nut job who wants to see the world around him burn. That's my interpretation anyway. Yes the government he brought down was evil. He didn't care about that. He wanted vengeance and anarchy.
