Yeah, I know Imperfect Cell can't, but I was responding in reference to Dark Pheonix soloing DBZ. Anyway, no absorbing a star's energy is not anymore impressive than destroying it. Yeah, Dark Pheonix can do that with immense psychic pressure. Pressure in which someone from DBZ could resist if star eating is her most impressive feat.

It breifly can outshine an entire galaxy. Storing the energy of a supernova is not impressive at all and it certainly doesn't surpass anything in DBZ Cell is also a being that can fly shoot lasers from his eye and gets stronger near death this is fiction

You just said Dark Pheonix ate a star, not a star going supernova. Also, no someone like Super Vegetto could easily tank Supernova levels of power. The energy a supernova gives off is 100 times what is required to destroy the Sun, and I'm sure Super Vegetto meats that criteria. Cell said he had enough energy to blow away the entire Solar System. That could mean a number of things. 1. He's referring to destroying the Sun thus destroying that which makes it a solar system in the first place. 2. He's referring to the destroying the cumulative mass of the Solar System. 3. He's referring to extending his Ki to the edges of the Solar System and taking out every object within the vicinity. We have Cell's statement being backed up by multiple guidebooks so he can clearly do what he says, question is what exactly he's referring to. I go with notion 2. All this aside high end DBZ characters should be capable of tanking Supernova level attacks. Whis even says Beerus can destroy the Solar System in the blink of an eye which essentially refers to notion 3. Also, I would like to point out that Supernova's do not make explosions the size of galaxies. They make explosions that can be seen from galaxies.

That's not how resisting Mental/Psychic abilities work in Marvel, the entire point is that those powers are used by someone weaker than the opponent in order to compensate for lack of raw strength. That being said the Z Fighters would need absurd amounts of resistance to that in order to fully resist something to that degree, and the only person that was capable of fighting while molecularly disarranged was Super Vegetto and there's speculation that was only because of the Magic nature of the Potarra.
