Assuming it doesn't contradict anything from toriyamas work, what if it's made by naho ooishi?

Pardon?

Either way, it ain't the original author.

Personally, no. I won't accept it because it's not by Toriyama's hand.
If the events are mentioned in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman though, will you. That manga is made by Toriyama you know.

Dunno about that. Haven't read it or read much about it either.

"Naho Ooishi-san, congratulations on Dragon Ball SD’s becoming a comics volume!
I am thankful for you always livening up Dragon Ball as a cute, fun color manga on my behalf.
Please take good care of Goku & company from here on out!"
— Akira Toriyama

And

"She did her best in the unfamiliar job of making a manga out of an anime, all because it was too much of a pain for me to make an original work myself. So please be nice and support her.

I think that I probably won’t draw any more Dragon Ball, so this is the only place you’re going to see anything new!!" -akira toriyama

And

"Ooishi-san understands Dragon Ball really well, and she knows so much about it too. I've plump forgot what in Dragon Ball, so she knows about 1,000 times more about it than me! But what I admire more is her considerable artistic strength and skill at manga composition."
— Akira Toriyama, 2009

She is more of a legit source than toriyama

Problem is that anyone that is not Akira Toriyama will have the same problem the forum communities have, different opinions about different things. What makes her have more knowledge about the series than the forum community who argues about it day in and day out.

She is still more of a legit source than he is, so assuming something she makes doesn't contradict anything, it should be considered canon right?

I would say that the chain goes like this

- Akira Toriyama while drawing the series

- Uncontradicted Guide stuff

- Everyone else (Oiishi, forum community etc)

- Akira Toriyama (now)

- Youtube comments

Think it should be thought seperate to Z, the series by itself is fine but dont bring some GT argument to a DBZ debate. Example, Pans strength in EoZ should not be quantified based on her strength in GT (Best example I can make)..

GT is based on Z, Z is not based on GT

There is no canon in Dragonball so add what ever you want to your personal fanon.

I'm pretty sure battle of gods is canon and GT is just a side story written almost entirely by toei

I agree, Non-Cannon is not AT's work and scenes from it pcannot be used as evidence to support an online topic debate regarding the manga and it's characters for example, in movie 8, both Paragus and Broly survived planet Vegeta's destruction. This contradicts the manga as it has been established that only Raditz, Goku, Vegata and Nappa were the only survivors of the saiyan race. Another example is BOG. If Goku had used ssj god already, why did he not use it against omega. It's the same with SSJ4, which technically does not exist as apart if the ssj forms. Apart from ssj god, SSJ3 is Goku's most powerful form.
