Or some fics have really powerful characters. Take my fanfic series DBAY for an example. The characters in that story are already getting passed DBGT characters in power. Then there's other fanfics where the powerscalling is just absurd. It sounds like a good idea but I wouldn't roll with it with all of this in mind.

Certain characters, including mines, have near hax powers or skills that will make this unfair.

A normal RP tournament I essentially taking another fictional character and using them. In this case your taking your own fictional character. It would be no different than if Toriyama and Kishimoto had an RP battle using Goku and Naruto respectively. As long as you abide by the tournament rules that's fine. I've had characters that I've used that were massive stronger in reality compared to my opponent but I played it fairly by nerfing my own to make it more fun. Especially when the basic point of an RPG tournament here is how well you actually write your character and scenes, not actually how powerful your character is.

I think I have a good grasp on that considering the Last RP tournament we had. But I only have one broken character and I wouldn't use him anyway seeing as how he'd be unfair. The one that people insist is broken would be limited to equalization anyway and can't go beyond that. I think this could be fun and should be done. As long as we can maintain a sort of order to go on. I think what we should do in case this actually happens is to create a Strength Checker for our characters so that we know what we're up against and can't cal BS if something seems like it was created for the Tournament itself. I think Sir Brofist proved you could add in a haxed character but nerf him to where it's competable. If you guys have no clue, just read the first RP Tournament where he played as Million Knives. But I don't think there's enough fanfics to warrant a Tournament, unless of course we bring in two people from our fanfics, that's the only way I see something like this being feasible.

As long as the characters aren't the type that destroy people by looking at them or thinking about them, then it'll work.
