I had the chance to watch this movie for the first time in roughly six years, so I'm wondering what you guys think of it?

I loved it. The plot was fantastic.

I love how both Freddy and Jason looked really weak in the other's realm. It made for good fight scenes.

I was rooting for Freddy the whole time. I mean, the man's hilarious!

Freddy looked weak in the real world? Gotta disagree with you there, bub. He took it to Jason better than he realistically should've. Nobody else in the series was able to fight Jason like that apart from Paul in Part 2, but that was when Jason was still a human and Paul lost. Given what was shown in his last nine movies, Jason should've ripped Freddy's arms off, used one of them to smack his head clean off, and thrown his body into a hole somewhere to be forgotten about. Freddy getting the upper hand on the dock was just unbelievable.

And suddenly Jason was afraid of water? Since when? He waited in the lake to kill a girl in Part 4, had absolutely no problem going into the lake to get Tommy in Part 7, and freely went into the water to get onto the cruiser in Part 8. That sure sounds like a guy who's terrified of water.

I'm a horror genre fan. Huge fan, in fact. This movie had so much build-up, so much anticipation, and it didn't live up to that. Hardly. It was a huge disappointment. Good concept, bad execution.

Well, Jason threw Freddy really long distances. Tossing him around like a ragdoll. In fact, the only time I think Freddy truly got the upper hand was when he chopped Jason's fingers and took his machete.

The movie may have some inconsistencies, but overall, I thought the movie was decent. How Freddy randomly transported to the real world is beyond me, but I thought it was a pretty cool movie.

Prolly a 7.5 for me.

Just the sheer spectacle of it is nice, and it's not a terrible movie, but it wasn't what it should or could have been. I've seen a lot better fan scripts.

I didn't give one s*** about the human characters either, and usually I can somewhat give a crap about at least one person in the movies even if it's for their looks. But these guys all annoyed me, especially when Lori went all Xena Warrior Princess at the end.

I will say the one amazing part of the movie was the beginning with Freddy's backstory. The music and montage of clips was great. I suppose the other part of the movie I really liked was when Freddy took over the druggie's body to OD Jason, thereby protecting the other humans. For some reason I likened it to him turning face for that moment, but I know it was just to protect his interests.

I didn't like how Jason was portrayed as the default good guy between him and Freddy. They're both villains and should be treated as such. Then again, that moment at the end when Lori threw Jason's machete into the lake and they both just looked at each other was somewhat calming. It made me think of Godzilla, how he went from a complete villain to somewhat of an anti-hero, and I could see Jason becoming that even if I don't necessarily agree with it. I know it's not happening since he went back to his evil roots in the remake, but still. Thinking of villains as good guys is always an interesting thing to me.

That sorta babyface turn was needed. You don't want an Orton vs. Batista situation. :P

But yeah. I didn't feel Jason was dangerous at all. Freddy was the dangerous one.

Everyone was like "OMFG IT'S FREDDY! FREDDY'S BACK" and there's that one guy who quietly says "...And Jason". :D

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I wish this had spawned more non B movie crossovers it's such a cool concept, Jason vs Michael Myers could have been awesome(though Michael would have to not just walk about slowly...)

With the more sort of realistic Jason from the remake and the remake Myers they could make an awesome movie. Although neither of them speak that could be a problem, the fights would be epic though.
Maybe Leatherface vs Jason/Myers.

The biggest problem for me was...it was a horror? Not really, nothing was remotely scary or didn't seem like it would be the whole movie for me was just "Ok when is Freddy going to fight Jason?" And then it a*** slaps you at the end with neither winning, Jason should have won since Freddy could always come back anyway.

I don't care if horrors are scary or not. Saw, Shining, Wrong Turn, Exorcist, Paranormal Activity, I found none of them to be scary.

I disagree. Michael Myers and Jason have little personality. They are two big dudes who just want to kill, and cannot die.

Freddy has personality, and a better backstory and motive for killing.

Jason: Drowned in a lake.

Michael: Killed his sister.

Freddy: Burnt alive for being a child killer.

The latter two were already killers AFAIK, but Freddy has the best reason to kill, because he was the only one who was killed. Jason died because people weren't watching, but Freddy was set alight.

I think Freddy made up for Jason not talking by being hilarious. :p

Well I don't often find horrors scary either but there was nothing in the movie that seemed like it was supposed to be scary it was just some thriller flick with a couple of horror characters in it.

Yeah Freddy being funny and having a personality did help but if it was Michael and Jason they could have other characters who actually matter in it the only noteworthy human in Freddy vs Jason(though not real) was Jason's mother other than that they were all very very forgettable.

Michael was actually cursed as a baby or some s*** he was born to be the way he was but Jason...makes no sense, just a vengeful spirit with regeneration powers somehow.

Freddy could have really used anybody, he just chose Jason.

I want to read that Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash comic sequel, but I have no idea where I can find it.

... Kinda sealed it for me.

Although, I much prefer different universes to stay seperate. Much like the AVP films. Okay, they work pretty well but I prefer the original storylines.

Well, that PokeMaster knows what he is talking about. I agree 100%.

I just wish there was a bit more explaining how Freddy was brought into the real world? When victims wake up, they disappear. How did that chick drag Freddy with her?
