That was deep into the fight. Where was he beforehand? Like I said, he didn't even consider himself that I remember.
Like I said, he had to get the Elder and Dende out of there. Also, he probably had fate in Goku.

If you say so. Faith seems a bit weak when Goku admitted they weren't entirely sure how they'd win without fusion of some sort, but whatever floats your tooter.

One of the things I will bring up is that the reason Vegeta stayed was a combination of just a supporting role but mostly because Goku never intended Vegeta to fight in the first place really. Vegeta himself severely underestimated Boo's power. While he probably came to a conclusion that he would lose, he didn't seem to realize that fighting Boo would be so difficult.

Instead of surviving for one minute, he got his *** beaten down in about 15 seconds. Kibitoshin could be as strong as Good Boo but in the end, he's still well behind Kid Boo's level of power at the time and unlike Vegeta, Kibitoshin actually knows Boo's powers and problems and its probably a lot easier to stay out of the mess then to jump in and just be another casualty.

To put into another perspective, let's take Gohan's fight with Cell (manga obviously as this doesn't include the anime) nobody helps Gohan even when he's about to get his face blown off. The situation is at a level that they, even if they want do, can't do much of anything. They're powerless in this situation and its only Vegeta that manages to do anything.

In the end, even if Kibitoshin is stronger than Vegeta, he'll just end up being another punching bag for Boo.

If he knew Pure Boo's power and was willing to fight Bootenks, why didn't he end up fighting Pure Boo? He didn't even put his name into the hat.

I'd put him somewhat below SSjin 2 Vegeta mostly because he wasn't considered a master of the universe.
Elder Kai had warned Kibitoshin he could end up getting absorbed, so maybe that's why he didn't end up fighting kid buu. And maybe Elder Kai wasn't considering fusions like Kibitoshin when he referred to goku and vegeta as two of the top three masters in the universe. If he had, then he'd have to include Vegito himself, which would bump Vegeta out of the top three masters
