Just reread the fight, and I saw a Kaioken aura twice. Kaio says he has been using it in plural. That doesn't make sense if Goku only used it once, no? You're fighting a fat bastard in front of a small crowd. Your friend, Billy, is already watching. Your other friend, Dicky, comes in a couple minutes later. Dicky: "Why is SSJQ losing? Why isn't he using his Super Ubermensch Quadruple Attack Barrage?" Bill: "You fool, he is using it!" Dicky: Obviously you aren't using the technique at that moment, but you are using it according to Bill.

If you want to call 3 uses as really using it then be my guest. Just seems much different compared to the saiyan arc when Goku was constantly in Kaioken.

Technically... it only lasts a "heartbeat" so perhaps we just got lucky with the photos taken for the frames... and the photographers on Namek had terrible timing?

FireFox Favourite Manga Sailor Moon	KK as I've said is being used without being shown because AT as a writer once us to think Goku has a trump card. When we read Goku being beat by 50% Frieza we as the reader are basically Tien, Hey Goku just use the Kai-Ken. King Kai who is then AT drops the bomb on us and says Goku is already using it and then KK becomes fully visible again as the surprise is over. KK is never invisible just that AT is not showing Goku use it to save the shock of just how strong Frieza has become. Also in the saiyan saga Goku was using KK like a transformation versus the Frieza saga where he learns it is better in quick bursts.
