I've got a thing for Prison Films/Prison Escapes lately, and have seen a good chunk of em' but I don't know any more good ones.

Any suggestions? :)

I'm just a piece of trash.. but there are things I learned. The hole in your heart is something other people can fill.
If you reject your friends' feelings and this world..
Just because something didn't go as you wished, no one will ever come to you.
And so that hole won't be filled either, if you just run away without doing anything people won't do anything for you either..

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

The Experiment sounds cool, about prison guards pretending to be prisoners or something like that, not sure what it's about at the core but it seems interesting though obviously not watched it.

Escape from Alcatraz...surely you've seen that but if not that's a classic.
Shawshank Redemption is another obvious but anyway.

Escape Plan was ok, Stallone and Schwarzenegger, it's fairly recent.

Prison Break is a decent series too if you want a long lasting experience.

Shawshank Redemption.

TConner already mentioned Green Mile.

I enjoyed Escape Plan a fair amount. Arnie freaking out in German was probably his best acting scene ever - legitimately awesome.

@TConnor_Demonic I have yet to see that, so that'd be good to add to my list, thanks ^_^

@Steve Experiments is awesome, if you haven't watched it I highly suggest you do :)
Escape from Alcatraz, I've also seen that, it's one of my favorite Prison Escape films ^_^ Along with Shawshank Redemption.
And Prison Break is my favorite TV series to date :D

And I actually watched Escape Plan last night, that's what put me in the mood for more Prison films :p

Well...my post was useless then

I know there's one more but it's on the tip of my tongue >_<

Not seen it but Hunger, don't think it's about them escaping though it's Irish prisoners on a hunger strike so I think it's like a psychological one.

The Rock could count...though that's breaking in to a prison :p good film anyway, Nic Cage and Sean Connery.

American History X is another.

American History X isn't really a prison film. There's like what, 20 minutes of him in prison?

I think I've seen hunger. Is that where they keep smearing their s*** all over the walls?

If you're up for a cheesy Steven Seagal movie, Half-Past Dead wasn't bad.

Just saw an advert for a decent looking Prison film starring Jack o'Connel called Starred up. I'm a fan of his so I'll be keeping a look out for the reviews.

That's a bit of a paradox, putting "cheesy" and "wasn't bad" in the same sentence.

Not really. Plenty of cheesy films are pretty decent. Look at Grease or most of Schwartzennegar's films.
