Before Cell spit out 18 he went into his Super Buff Form or Ultra Cell or whatever, Minus his decrease in speed how much more powerful do you guys think he was than his Full Power Form, do you think he could have damaged gohan if he managed to hit him, also where would you put him on the power scale next to ssj2 gohan?

"I am the bone of my sword."

Stronger than his Perfect Form, dare say significantly but still significantly below SSJ2 Kid Gohan.

The thing that will always be the same for me is that, even if Cell's speed is too slow hit Gohan, Cell shouldn't have taken as much damage as he did from one kick by Gohan if he was actually near him in power. He might get stunned, he might get knocked off his feet or get winded, see some stars. But he shouldn't get hit once in the face and then look like a baby deer hit by a train, eyes unfocused and then vomit up an entire person.

Again when he was hit in the face, at least the anime went with the gut blow.

Much like how Zenkai Perfect Cell's blast is a testament to his power increase in comparison to Gohan, Gohan doing such extensive damage to Buff Cell is testament that even with Cell's new strength (and by reasonable point increased endurance) Gohan's strength is still well above the likes of which Cell can handle at this point.

Personally, I compare Cell's forms to SSJ forms... so I have:
Full Power Cell = SSJ Grade 2 Cell
Buldging/Buff Cell = SSJ Grade 3 Cell (with a little bit of Namekian Growth thrown in)
...and if required; apply numbers the same way.

As for vs Gohan (but without speed loss), I'd say:
Cell = 7
Gohan = 8
So, he'd walk away with a bit more than the bloody lip he got from FPC...

Considering Gohan opted to dodge, instead of blocking or countering any blows... and the fact that he actually took damage from "tanking" FPC's hit... I'd like to think Massive Cell was close enough to Gohan that if he actually hit him, there would be a bit of damage... though nothing life threatening.

As for the damage Cell took from a single blow... and considering my reasoning above... I tend to liken getting hit in SSJ Grade 3 or an equivalent form to getting hit in the stomach after just eating. The extreme stretching of the muscles actually weakening the Warrior's defensive ability with said muscles.

I completely agree with this and considering what Sir Brofist said about Gohans one shot to Cell in his buff form id prolly put buff cell way lower than 1 compared to ssj2 gohan Vertical, but disregard because i just seen that you offered an explaination, but Gohan did also kick him in the face manga wise thats all it took.

Sorry if I wasn't clear... I didn't mean getting hit in the stomach specifically... that was just a real world example that seemed appropriate. I was suggesting that stretching yourself to such extremes weakens your overall defense against physical attacks (anywhere that has been stretched - head included).

I have him squarely in the gap between FP Cell and SSJ2 Gohan. Gohan needs to put in a tiny bit of effort, but with that little effort, he can easily pummel him.

I see it as a gap similar to Monster Zarbon vs Vegeta(Round 1). Gohan was kicking Cell's a***, but he had to put some effort behind his hits

I, too, agree that if Gohan opted to dodge rather than tank (like he did with full-power Cell) or counter (like he did with full-power Cell's Kamehameha), then Ultra Cellulite's power was likely close enough that a direct hit from him would've done at least some damage.

No doubt it'd do damage, but it'd be like the hits Vegeta landed on Recoome. They knock him off balance for a bit and stun him, but don't do too much

i disagree, i think ssj2 gohan still had a huge gap on buff cell with those points Brofist mentioned, and also just because gohan chose to dodge rather than tank the hits doesn't really imply that hits from buff cell would do damage, if you guys remember SSJ Vegeta tanked an entire combo from android 19 only to come out of it with a small lip bleed (basically no damage done), vegeta then laughed and stated that 19 was nothing and dodged every other punch and kick 19 threw after that instead of tanking like he did earlier even tho he showed he was completely capable of tanking 19's hits. I think Gohan still had a very huge gap over buff cell, i think buff cell's hits wouldn't have done any real damage if any at all.

The difference is we know Cell powered up, but not by how much. The android hadn't powered up against Vegeta until after Vegeta had started dodging his hits.

19 absorbed goku's ssj kamehameha and stole more of his energy, how did he not power up? Also what implied that 19 powered up at all? im pretty sure 19 and 20 could not manually power up, they powered up by stealing energy. If they could power up it wouldn't make sense for them to absorb energy to stay functional as 20 has mentioned multiple times through out 19's fights with goku and vegeta. and going from 19's pov if i just almost got my a$$ handed to me by a sick super saiyan why in the hell would i hold back against another one? 19's power level was the same through out his whole fight with vegeta. (unless you count the little he stole from vegeta when he grabbed him)

I'm talking about No.19's power when he was fighting Vegeta, so of course that included the power he'd gotten from Goku. He only powered up after that when he absorbed Vegeta's power, which was after Vegeta had been dodging his attacks.

umm yea thats exactly what i said, so you're proving my point, he only powered up a little after the energy he got from vegeta, the point was that vegeta could tank 19's hits if he wanted but chose to dodge instead it had nothing to do with 19's power level cause he had the same power through out that battle it never rose until after he grabbed vegeta which after that 19's arms were ripped off, so in no point in that fight did 19's power level change from him attacking vegeta at the beginning up until he grabbed him. This was all to support my claim about ssj2 gohan still having a huge gap on Buff cell. Just cause gohan dodged cells hits doesn't imply him being unable to tank cells hits.

I was supporting your point, yeah. You probably could've brought up Vegeta's with #18 as well, or Cell's fight with Piccolo and #17. #18 tanked Vegeta's pseudo-Big Bang Attack, and Cell tanked Piccolo Gekiretsu-Kodan, both surely with more power than a normal punch or kick.

Thanks for that. :p You've gone and done something marvelous.

I was really only arguing that the situations were different because we don't know how much Cell had powered up, and Gohan decided to dodge his attack instead allowing it to hit him, which could be supplementary evidence for a much smaller gap between the two. Vegeta showed he was so superior to No.19, whose power didn't change throughout, that he could do whichever he chose.

You're right.
