When do you think the Dragon Balls were created?

Posts: 1,173 Group: Member Member #10,454 Joined: November 6, 2013	Im wondering how old the Dragon Balls are, im not sure if its stated anywhere but im guessing around 15 million years ago at least. Old Kai is the Kaioshin from 15 generations before, each Kaioshin lives for about a million years which means he reigned 15 million years ago. He also yells at Goku and Vegeta about the rules about the usage of the Dragon Balls. Hes too protective and it feels that its personal to him, which made me think that he was there when the rules were established. But is there anything that says or hints towards the creation of the Balls? EDIT: Im talking about the original Namekian Dragon Balls ofcourse. Edited by Hearts, Mar 6 2014, 07:39 PM.

I don't think elder Guru was the first creator of the dragon balls, they were most likely created by the first Namekians, which could possibly date back 10-15 million years. It's all speculation, so I don't see how it couldn't be plausible if it doesn't contradict anything

Chrome Favourite Manga One Punch Man	You mean any specific set, or the first set of Dragon Balls ever? Who knows, really. Even the "master" set on Namek probably are probably only as old as the Grand Elder was, unless someone else passed it to him when he was young.

I may be recalling this incorrectly but wasn't the original Buu battle 5 million years prior to the events in Dragon Ball? Doesn't that make Kaioshin at least 5 million years old? As for the topic, I have no problem with there being Dragon Balls during Elder Kaioshin's reign. The Namekians were a peaceful race, who looked to better themselves and had little-to-no negative impact on their environment. For them to exist as they are shown to for millions of years would not shock me.

Youre probably right, i thought the Buu fight happened A million years ago, not several millions, which would mean that 15 Generations ago is at least 75 million years ago. Also the Namekians were probably one of the strongest races aswell, putting Nail, the only fighting type at 42k is miles about the Saiyan race who pride themselves in their strength. Combining the Healing Race, the Fighting Race and the Dragon Balls, The namekians had it all :P Quote: Who says Elder Kai didn't know what was going on even when inside the Z-Sword? And my point as to the topic is that the Dragon Balls have always been with the Namekians since they ever started to be.

And my point as to the topic is that the Dragon Balls have always been with the Namekians since they ever started to be. I actually really like the concept behind this idea. Maybe originally, Namek's came from another realm/dimension... a place more heavily based in magic [though Ki is still relevant, just not dominant]... and while able to still use a minor amount of magic in the DB Universe, only by summoning the Dragon can they access true, reality bending, magic. Perhaps that was the price they paid for leaving their original home... having the majority of their magic sealed in 7 magic balls... has to stop snowballing out of control before he starts writing a fan-fiction ...obviously this is all conjecture and created in jest and should be treated as such.
