Can we expand the roles for the mods a little?

If a user edits his thread and writes something like (thread deleted), can the mods just go ahead and delete them?

Cause if they are left with no contribution anymore, it takes up space and it's useless. I don't see a point in keeping threads around that says (thread deleted) afterwards.

Do you mean a locked thread? Personally I only get rid of those if they are spam threads, or contain flaming in them. If they were locked for other reasons, I think it is fair to leave them up as archives. There may be information in those threads that people want to access. That's just my opinion though, and what I do when I see a locked thread.

No, what I mean is after I create a thread, and then I decide that it's not necessary anymore and I go
edit it and write "(thread deleted)" since I can't delete my own threads and have to ask a mod to do it.

Ah well that is a pretty rare occurrence. I'd say if you want it to be trashed, just contact a mod who is online. I'm sure they will be able to resolve the problem quickly.

Yeah just PM us about it. Otherwise we might not see it.

That's how it usually goes. We'll trash a post that is no longer needed with a "please delete", or something like that. But honestly, considering that most of the threads die after awhile anyway, it's not really a big deal if an unnecessary edited post doesn't get trashed by a moderator. But if you feel the need to tell one of us to trash it, or if one of us comes across one, then we'll delete it for sure.

As said above. Either report it if you see one or just PM a staff member and we can sort it from there :)
