 This was basically the fight.

Cell: It ain't going to be as easy as before. (Being surprisingly humble about it mind you)

Gohan: IMMA RIP YOUR GONADS OFF AND USE THEM TO WASH MY SEDAN!! *pulls down pants, grabs **** and shakes it hard spewing all his good stuff on the ground* See that? That's you after I'm done! You are my green ***** and I own you! Bend over Cell it's going to get rough....!

*Gets hit by blast*

Gohan: We're all gonna die! Everyone's gonna die! We've got no chance! No chance at all! **** life! *** all sorts of damn things!

At this point Cell actually started egging Gohan on and it wasn't until Gohan became severely weakened that Cell started getting cocky and considering how badly Gohan was getting his *** beat until Vegeta arrived, it was understandable.

Nobody said the blast had to be weak, its the simple fact that it was

1.) Uncharged

2.) Not even intended for Gohan

3.) did such damage both physically and mentally to Gohan who earlier had beat Cell down senseless he was barfing people up.

Cell essentially went from getting one shotted to practically one shotting Gohan in return. It was a huge testament to his increased power from before.
well it seemed like thats what you were trying to suggest but you've made your point clear so its all good. also just because it wasn't intended for gohan doesn't mean anything, the blast was meant to kill, so im not surprised that it damaged gohan

 Honestly, considering that MSSJ Gohan thought that MSSJ Goku @Full Power was toying should speak wonders about where Gohan stands. Also on top of what Brofist has already pointed out, there are some members who see Gohan's SSJ2 at that point being stronger than he would've been since some think he had a rage boost on top of it. SSJ2 Goku doesn't stand much of a chance here to be frank.

 Anyways I'm going to lock this topic people. I think we've well established the fact that Zenkai Cell would crush Goku and if we need to get into the whole Cell vs Gohan debate, we can do that in a separate topic.
