I want to buy the Rock the dragon box set but I find it weird they didn't include all the episodes because I've heard they continued the Ocean dub. Also if I buy the RTD dvd box set and then switch to the regular uncut box sets wich one do I need to buy ? Season 2 or 3 to continue watching DBZ after I finished the RTD box set.

Funi dub started near the end of the second season. This, if confirmed, is unfortunate because you'll be missing several episodes if you started from seadon 3, and if you started from season two you'd only be doing do for those several episodes.

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

If you actually look at the series, as FUNI knows it, you'll notice that the episode numbers for FUNI and Ocean don't match up.

This is because Ocean didn't dub all the episodes. Some filler episodes were left out when they originally dubbed it.

It would be around Season 3 or so when you'd need to switch over. FUNI started dubbing the episode when Vegeta kills Recoome and Burter.
However, FUNI has dubbed the entire series if you just want to pick up those, and they actually did the filler episodes in the Saiyan and Early Namek Arcs, unlike the Rock the Dragon set.

Personally, I'd just pick up Kai to save money. Not to mention the dub's better anyway.
