We know that using Instant Transmission takes up some energy. So the energy which gets "used up" or "consumed", Is it constant? or does it varies with respect to distance?,i.e more energy is required if the distance between source and destination is large/long and vice versa? |

I think it would make sense if it took up more energy for farther distances. It takes more energy to run 10 miles than a mile after all

Pretty much what Kingsley said, and I would think that the mass of the user would factor in somewhere too. |

Considering Goku uses it to jump between planets and dimensions... surely something would've been said if it took any decent amount of energy to perform teleportations of great distance. |

Yeah, that was Dende referring to Kaioshins inability to make "the jump" as they called it. But, I think it's different for Kaioshin with him being the supreme kai and all. Never in the series does Goku directly or indirectly say or act as if he doesn't have enough energy for IT, or that it wears him out afterward. You could argue that because Kaioshin can sometimes not use it if he's too energy depleted then it's the same for goku, but then again, Goku is much much MUCH stronger than kaioshin, he has much greater ki. you could probably break it down into 3 possibilities: •Goku has so much chi that IT never wears him down •Goku has never had such little chi left that it was difficult to make it •IT is not chi dependent in regards to those variables i.e. distance, dimensions, etc. Edited by gogito, Mar 2 2014, 09:33 AM.
