It was simpler and flowed a lot more. My favorite design for any Super Saiyan in the series. Gohan's hairstyles (base, SS1 and SS2) at the Cell games were great too, but they lacked that overall simpler approach. The other forms had good hair styles (SS2, 3 and 4 were pretty badass, and SS God was simple and straigh to the point), but they lack the presence of Goku's original SS hair style. Super Saiyan "1" isn't my favorite form, but Goku's original design certainly was the best. Sometimes, simpler is better.

Which I found odd. Goku during Freeza arc. Looks much cooler. To many noticeable spikes in the anime post Freeza. SSj2 Kid Gohan Now onto the manga list: Trunks(ALL Versions and forms). SO BADASS! SSJ Goku.
