I think Avatar is probably the best example of why CGI doesn't always make things better. For me Sam Worthington made it bad he's just a meh actor really, same reason why Terminator Salvation was bad and why Clash of and Wrath of the Titans were only good when Liam Neeson was saying or doing something. That and being rip offs of loads of other movies. So is Godzilla just the one movie or do they already plan to make a series? Guessing they're going to wait and see how well it does but hopefully they'll get at least a sequel going. Let the Japanese get back in to their original movie and summon King Gidorah or something. Space Godzilla hopefully they won't do... It'd be awesome if they could do a Pacific Rim/Godzilla crossover, maybe Godzilla was the first Kaiju and went dormant only to resurface in Pacific Rim 2. s*** load of monsters and robots in a massive war. Or a Gundam/Godzilla crossover. |

I always think sequels to monster movies are pretty ugh, because they defeat the monster in the first movie and miracously is comes back in the next movie. Jurassic Park is different though, because they escaped the place the dinosaurs were. They also left Godzilla (98) open-ended, but never really made a sequel because of reception. |

The last two Transformers movies were garbage, I couldn't even finish watching the third one because I found it to be that bad and distasteful. The first one just barely teetered in the edge of "watchable". I have no intention of watching the fourth one when that comes out. Edited by Ketchup Revenge, Feb 28 2014, 07:54 PM.

I do because Shia isn't in it so it should be a lot less goofy but who knows it might not be, he really killed it Transformers are freaking cool but his character just made it a dumb kids movie. Godzilla is the one monster that can just keep coming back. I think it would be cool if they just severely injured him and he disappeared in to the ocean then in the sequel the humans have made a giant machine or machines to take him on if he ever comes back. Cheesy but it would look awesome. Maybe some of Godzilla's blood could infect other creatures and make some of the classic monsters, I don't know. Obviously just Godzilla...Again! Would be a dull movie. |

TF 2 and 3 were disrespectful to the source material and to the public. I'm a fan of the franchise as a whole, but Michael Bay's take on it was crap. I will watch TF 4, but I don't expect improvements. About 98' Godzilla, it actually received a sequel in the form of a cartoon called "Godzilla: The Series" that followed the movie's sequel hook. The cartoon was all around much better that the movie and much more faithful to the source material. It wasn't fantastic, but it was pretty great and well worth a watch. Michael Bay's the problem for me, not really the actors in it. I just hate that all his stuff is simply hot chicks and explosions. And the issue that I had with Trans 3 was that EVERY goddamn scene with the lead chick needed to have the shot of her either beaver/a** first, or nearly looking up her skirt and seeing her giblets. I just completely lost interest in something that's so male oriented, that it borders on being sick. I ended up turning it off about a half hour in or so. I don't mind an occasional hot chick bending over the hood of a car or something, but when it gets so bad that it completely takes away from the plot, that's when it's not worth my attention (or money). I don't mind Shia LeBouf. He's not terrible, but he's not great. He's a typical Hollywood actor, what can I say? Edited by Ketchup Revenge, Feb 28 2014, 09:16 PM.

I hate that I will do the same... because it almost encourages them to keep it going. The biggest problem I have with the current Transformers movie series is that it has far too much human content. ..well that, and the fact that it would be so damn easy to actually get the series right... but they carry on down this road... |

Since we kinda keep going a bit off topic why doesn't someone make a general movie topic? Just for discussions about movies that don't really warrant a whole topic. I think I'll probably like the new Transformers because A) No Shia B) Looks a bit more serious C) FRICKIN' DINOBOTS, love those guys from the old 80's or 70's movie. Wish they'd just started the series with the look the film has instead of the first 3 movies being goofy insults because now if it ever got rebooted stuff like "I, am Optimus Prime" would probably be less epic with different actors and Megatron's voice is perfect. |

I only partially liked the first Transformers, the other two were jank, especially the second one. What a terrible piece of toilet paper not even fit for a dead bum's a***. Glad they replaced Megan Fox, though. Looking forward to Dinobots. Godzilla The Series was epic. Definitely much more faithful to the source material, and it made Zilla (well, his son) a lot stronger. He didn't die from measly missiles. He kicked a*** all over the place and actually used his atomic breath and everything. That's Godzilla right there. If they'd done that for the movie, I think it would've been a lot better. |

I was told ages ago this would have Godzilla fight another monster the same size as him and I really really hope that desperate scientists use a Size-ray to make a gigantic Bryan Cranston to fend him off. |

Everyone seems to be all "omg Walter White is going to kill Godzilla! "That hair though, he's clearly Hal. Low class suburban dad is saving the day, not a sociopathic meth dealer! Although we all know Godzilla won't actually die, unless they want to piss off 100% of the fanbase. Unless they repeat the ending of the 1998 movie but give people what they wanted with a sequel. |

Apparently there will be two other monsters in the movie 2:16 you see the head of one, it looks kind of robotic At least this means, unlike how the trailers seem to show it that it won't be just 99% never seeing Godzilla in full... As for the plot it was apparently leaked(sounds too stupid to be real though) Spoiler: click to toggle EDIT I've no idea why the video didn't show up
