Greatjon Umber had rode to intercept a small sellsword army the Lannisters had hired. Roose Bolton had taken a host to lay siege to Harrenhal in the hopes that they could drive Lord Tywin back to the Westerlands. In truth they had little hope of taking Casterly Rock but that was not needed. Kings Landing was their main goal and forcing a Lannister retreat would suit that agenda. "What of The Mountain Your Grace?" Edmure asked his nephew, still unsure of using that new title. "He continues to pillage these lands, raping and reaving as he goes." "We've received word that Lord Beric Dondarrion and his band of outlaws have started a campaign against him" Robb said. "I would rather not rely on such men but Lord Beric was loyal to my late father and he has experienced soldiers with him. I plan to conserve our strength as long as possible and he grants us this convenience." Robb could tell that his Uncle was less than satisfied with this answer and he understood why, but he was not willing to concede. This was the right choice. "Now, once Lord Frey's men return we can-" "Your Grace!" Brynden walked in, his face grim. "What is it?" Robb asked. "We just received a raven" he began. "That sellsword party was far bigger than the reports claimed. Apparently we did not realise how large in number they were until we were already upon them. We were forced in to retreat." "I see" Robb muttered. Failure against Lord Tywin was one thing, but to suffer a defeat at the hands of sellswords sent out another message entirely. Though Robb noted that his great Uncle's expression had yet to change. "What else?" Brynden breathed a heavy sign. "I'm sorry Robb, I know how well you got on" he said. "The Greatjon fell in the battle." You voted out Master Gohan who was Greatjon Umber, one of the Townies. The Mafia has struck the first blow and there could be more to come. It is now Night Time, only dead players may post. Anyone who has night actions please PM me. Night time will last approx 12 hours.

It was not good. The battle to take Harrenhal had began well enough. They fell upon them in the night, taking them by surprise. The initial wave of Lannister men had broke and the Northerners cavalry had made light work of the foot soldiers. They were preparing their siege weapons for an assault, when the rain of arrows came. When well guarded, Harrenhal was nearly impossible to take and so Lord Tywin was proving. How had this been allowed to happen? Their intelligence had suggested the place was lightly defended. King Robb had declared that it would be a simple task to take. Well, he had just proved his naivety. What a fool he had been, following a boy. He should have trusted his instincts and sided with the Lannisters first. The Young Wolf never stood a chance in the first place. Well, too late for that now. They were being picked off like flies and there was no chance Tywin would treat with him now. "And now Ramsay will inherit my fathers seat at the Dreadfort." The thought of his bastard son as a lord made even his own skin crawl. Though he supposed it mattered little. What's done is done. Roose Bolton accepted his fate as the arrows buried him. The Mafia have struck! They killed off tOMMY pICKLES who was Roose Bolton! A Townie at this stage, though a possible traitor. This move has possibly weakened both teams!
