I am currently in a Brotherhood and every Friday we release our resentments on eachother. But another part of the program is examining our resentments in life, with people who have hurt us in the past.

Resentments can be grudges in inner self that you don't realize, that you don't even know you have. Resentments can grow and you can just start resenting things and people in life and not even have a realization that you are doing so. They can be pretty dangerous to your mental health and just how you hold your self spiritually and accountable daily.

So doe's anyone here have Resentments they will never forgive, never get rid of? Against anything, anyone or any place?

Also how do you let resentments control you? How do they affect your self character?

I guess I still hate this guy who was just a huge a***** to me in the past, but it doesn't really cause problems for me. I hardly ever hold long grudges, but for a few days it could be bad, but I get over it.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I don't have any resentments. I'm a pretty laid back guy, so I very rarely get into situations that would warrant resentment, and even in rare occasions where I have e.g. people being dicks in school, I don't really care enough to hold a grudge.

"Then you've got the chance to do better next time."
"Next time?"
"Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is."
