Dbz vs bleach question

Not sure where this goes sorry. As you may know, the only way to hurt a soul reaper is with an attack that has spiritual energy in it. Can dbz characters hurt bleach characters? I know that in dragon ball, popo and goku made it clear that when someone suppresses their power level, they're actually literally clearing their soul, hence why goku couldn't sense popo when popo did that. That's the only spiritual energy statement in db I could find. So are dbz character attacks actually able to hurt bleach characters?

Catch me if you can!

They can't, but this is why equalisation needs to be done in VS matches. Without equalisation, they also won't be protected from rieatsu-crush.

Can dbz characters defend against soul reaper attacks even if they are weak in comparison to dbz attacks?

In Dragon Ball, they're capable of hurting ghosts, so the Shinigami won't be protected. Also they won't get Reiatsu Crushed at all, unless there's someone from Bleach strong enough to do it to a Dragon Ball character.

DBZ characters have shown no resistance to attacks which directly affect one's soul. Rieatsu crush actually does that.

Their bodies are strong, but their souls haven't shown that level of strength.

If equalisation is done, yes. Otherwise no.

At the very end of the Urani Babai events, he fought Gohan.

@supersaqerBut gohan was in a living body though.

Does the fact that dbz characters can hurt and defend against other dbz characters that aren't in a living body mean they can hurt bleach characters?

Gohan was deceased, he was granted a body for a day just like Goku in the future, both are still actually spirits, You've seen the halos buddy.

^Which means his soul was put into another body.

That means he technically had a body

Just checked again. Grandpa gohan did have a halo which means he didn't have a physical(I think) body. Same with all the other people in dbz who are dead. They aren't physical bodies right?

That just in-universe thinking though because Spirit Energy is technically Ki. And besides humans with powers (Fullbringers) can hurt Soul Reapers.

Fullbringers are spiritually aware humans.

They can even manipulate the souls that reside inside non living things.

Grandpa Gohan had a body, he was dead but his body was still his, it was a physical body and not a spiritual one..
But if you want a DBZ version of Bleach then yes, DBZ characters can see and interact with ghosts (Goku running back from Kaios place to fight Vegeta, Kami teleporting Goku to the otherworld when he died against Raditz).
So i would say that DBZ can fight Shinigamis..
