Ichigo vs aizen fight questions

So my first question is:

Throughout the entire series, these characters can only be hurt from spiritual pressure. Dangai ichigo had thrown away all of his in exchange for physical strength. He literally had zero spiritual energy. So how is it that he's able to hurt aizen?

second question:

Was final getsuga tenshou form really necessary? Ichigo was laughing at aizen the entire time. Why would he use the form and lose his powers?

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I think what actually happened is that Ichigo got so powerful that Aizen couldn't sense him any more, like how others couldn't sense him and he just didn't realize.

So that Ichigo would be powered down and the series could continue, simple truth really, couldn't have the main character being leagues ahead of every villain right away you need training arcs and new powers to beef the series up.

He didn't exchange his Reiatsu. The fact that Ichigo was so strong that Aizen couldn't even feel his Reiatsu.

Also to top the cake,

Aizen stated he still doesn't sense his Reiatsu, implying that he couldn't sense Ichigo's Reiatsu even before Ichigo went to Final Getsuga Tensho mode. If he lacked Reiatsu, the he couldn't use Getsuga Tensho or whatsoever.

It was absolutely unnecessary. PD Ichigo's Reiatsu was even higher than Monster Aizen's Reiatsu as Aizen himself implied. There was no need for Ichigo to transform, but probably Aizen could survive a normal Getsuga Tensho and evolve, but Ichigo just could spam Getsuga Tensho, grab him again, cuts him, Getsuga Tensho, etc.... until the Hogyoku admits that Aizen isn't it's master.

Pretty much what the other guys said IMO. I reckon Aizen didn't know what he was talking about.

I assume that the Final Getsuga thingy was used because Aizen would have just kept on evolving until he surpassed Ichigo. Even when Ichigo went all Final Getsuga on his a*** he survived.

This sole page proves that he's immortal

I don't know if there's anything mentioned out of this, but this is how far I can remember.

Well he's immortal not invincible he can still be destroyed just otherwise he would live forever I'd imagine.

I'm not really sure how they'd figure that out though...

I think it's stupid how far above everyone Aizen had to be to get unsensible and then Ichigo manages the same for him and yet his ultimate attack still doesn't kill Aizen?
He was so far above people touching him would stop them existing and we're supposed to accept that Ichigo is that much more powerful than Aizen too yet doesn't even win...

Meh.

Did Ichigo know about that at the time?

And I agree it was pretty lame

I think he figured it out, but if he didn't, Urahara told him when the seal activated.

Dangai Ichigo did the ultimate troll move by using Mugetsu on Aizen. Ichigo at that point could have beat Aizen anyway he wanted to as we find out later the Hygoku was done fighting Ichigo at that point.

Ichigo was still a tier more powerful than Monster Aizen. Aizen stated when Ichigo became Getsuga that he still can't feel his Reiatsu. When Ichigo got hurt, he was simply not fighting.

Ichigo could have just keep jamming Aizen with Getsuga Tenshos. The Hogyoku would stop fighting at that point.

It was a simple/effective way to illustrate that Aizen had been mistaken in his assumption of Ichigo concentrating his all into physical strength.

Cool... but completely unnecessary.

Perhaps it would've made more sense if Ichigo's newly acquired prowess had come from unlocking his "Final Form"... and that whether he used it or not, he would still suffer the same consequence (though not using it may have delayed the power loss a little).
