This might sound stupid, but is there a way you can report your own posts?

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

I know this sounds really dumb, but I've seen doubles happen with some members lately. I just had a triple in the "Forum Issue" thread.

Is there anyway we could report our own posts in this case for deletion?

I'd say the fastest thing to do is to pm a mod. If there are none on, then it would have to wait anyways.

Ha! :w00t:
I actually just did that with Puccioback to report my triple post.

But it would be convenient to actually have a report button on your own posts though.

The best option I believe is to either ignore it or quickly edit it for removal. Therefore when a mod does come by they can quickly act on it. Most mods will know when a double or triple post is accidental.

Before I had the ability to delete posts in my section but apparently that was a bug and I was actually breaking the laws of space and time by doing that...so I can no longer delete posts. I've heard you can do some strange thing like split the post and junk but goodness I don't even know how that works.

Leve Feyenoord 1!

I always just edit my second post with an apology + a request for deletion.

I agree, I usually just edit it to simply say:
"Ignore this"

Yea, often other people will report it for you, but PMing an online mod is often the best thing to do :)

Report the post and say it was an accident and also edit the double post and change it to something like "Accidental double post, please remove"

If it is two posts made minutes apart with the same content it is highly unusual for you to get warned for those. Feel free to send me a message if thats the case.

However if you just make two different posts after one another you will get warned yes.

Edit: I am looking into this optiont hough :)

Unless there is a reason to multi post (fanfiction) but in most cases, the edit button is your friend.

Love it, care for it and it'll never let you down.

Tim, are you the one who makes the rules on this site or is it someone else?

The rules are reviewed by the whole of the moderation team every so often, when we had a system in the form of parliament, rules were reviewed through there as well, but myself and Tim have the final say on any rules.
