I'm also interested to know if there's ebook-like places for comics such as Batman.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

The site that was given: Comixology. It's not a link, but it literally just took me 10 seconds to google that and input 'Batman Beyond' into the site's search bar.

They have an app in iOS that crosses over with the computer version as well. So you can buy and read comics across platforms. Not sure about Android

You could always try buying from the publishers themselves. Whenever I fancied a digital title I usually went to comixology but I'm sure its possible to buy digitally from Marvel somehow too. I only know that when you buy physical comics from them you usually get a digital code as well so yeah, maybe DC are the same, and the publisher of the comic you're looking for too.

Digital comics are a fairly recent thing though. Unless they've been released in a massive cd collection like with many of the marvel comics have been, I say you'll have a slim chance trying to find a comic with a release date before 2000 as an ebook...unless you try other, unmentionable means, but that area gets very grey quite fast.

I would love to know where other people get their digital titles though.

I get all my comics through Atomic Empire, but I don't know if they have ebook versions. However, they are really great if you want actual comics. They bag and board them for you and usually give reduced prices.

Good to hear they worked out for you.

What titles are you getting?
