What are a few of your favorite planets or planetary sights throughout the series? I ask kindly, list a few and tell your reasons why you like the two or three planets that you chose and how come you did. |

Probably Namek prior to the lava taking over. It was sinply a nice, peaceful looking planet. The anime used really soothing colours which was nice. |

My favorite planet in Dragon Ball gotta be Earth. It is really different from real world earth, and Toriyama did a great job in building that world, with all of it's antropomorphic pigs and desertic landscapes. There's something awesome about Dragon Ball's earth, specially in the early arcs when Goku travelled the world searching for the Dragon Balls. It felt really unique. I like Kaio-Sama's planet too. A bit small, but i like it's design. Namek is good too, even if it's not that visually appealing. Edited by Topographic Oceans, Jan 26 2014, 12:54 AM.

The Dragon World is really interesting indeed. The entire shape, people, and just ways of living all as a whole. I don't mind Penguin Village setting off in a bottom, secluded area of the Dragon World map - far east on the very edge of the map. It seems to be a different world or universe there yet it's still on the Dragon World map, just far away from everything else. |

In Dr. Slump the Penguin Village is always implied to be far away from the rest of society. That could be a good explanation for why it is so different from the rest of the Dragon Ball world, and why so much weird things happen. I always liked the idea of DB and Doctor Slump existing in the same universe.

Oh, so they are in the same universe. That's really strange. I know Goku went there as a kid but I have always had a weird reason for Penguin Village from not knowing much about it. I always figured it was a giant gag since Arale and crew was Toriyama's **** and just made Blue and Goku drop in there out of the real world for as long as they did. Haha, strange, I know. |

It's a bit hard fitting the two worlds together sometimes, tough. Dr. Slump uses a different calendary from Dragon Ball, and has it's own version of god. On the subject of planets, one GT planet that i aways found interesting is M2. I liked the atmosphere there. It's a shame GT's planets weren't all that creative. The crew could've done much more if they were more creative. Edited by Topographic Oceans, Jan 26 2014, 01:18 AM.
