Can it destroy the Z fighters? Because if Frieza survived the Namek's explosion, then the Z fighters (especially later in GT) should be able to easily withstand a planet destruction right?

Frieza saga Charatcers and above can easily withstand a planet explosion, remember Frieza survived it after an incredible fight, been cut in half, and getting a KHH on the face. But Goku wouldn't survive because of lack at oxygen, or the heat of the explosion.

So pretty much Goku may be able to survive for like a second - that is, right before the heat or lack of oxygen kills him. Anyone with that tier and up should be able to survive the same way, especially if they're creatures that can breathe in space, which may allow them to survive longer if they get passed the heat.

No matter how strong the Z-fighters are, they can't survive in a place with no oxygen.

No. Whatever you've seen is non-canon and in BoG Goku is still within the atmosphere of Earth.

Saiyans can't survive in space, due to the lack of oxygen. If they survive a planetary explosion they'd pass out within 90 seconds.

They can easily withstand planet explosions but the problem is the heat and not being able to breathe in space. The strength alone of a planet explosion won't do much damage to them though

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

The actual explosion though, we don't know how powerful it is it might not even be that much, big doesn't mean more powerful just more destructive in terms of destroying rocks etc.

I don't think it's that powerful an explosion really, especially not with all the rubble left around if it were there'd be nothing.

Well, it is very powerful but in reference to DB characters doesn't seem like it, just a big explosion.
Like a half dead Frieza didn't really get that much extra damage his own technique did more than the planet blowing up did so I wouldn't say surviving the explosion is a spectacular feat.

Surviving the planet and thus the atmosphere being gone is another story for non wtf how aliens or not so wtf how Gods.

The scene where they found frieza is filler so we don't know if the rubble we saw was there or not
