Gogeta is the only fusion who wasn't cocky in dbz, not gt. I would want to have an extra fight in dbz with civets vs a powerful opponent. It is unfair that super saiyan gogeta only got two minutes in a movie vs janempa. He should participate in more fights.

Gogeta is non-canon just like GT, so we don't know if a hypothetical Manga Gogeta would be cocky ^_^
And also Vegito was cocky for a purpose not because he really wanted to.

We know nothing about Gogeta because he appears for like 2 seconds.

And "Veku" is technically not the same character.

I think GT played the cockiness of Gogeta to an extreme. Vegetto seemed pretty well reserved considering he was purposefully toying with Buu so that he would absorb him. I honestly don't see Vegetto or Gogeta as very playful individuals.

To be fair, Gogeta was trolling Omega so that Omega would use the Negative Karma Ball, it was intentional. Gogeta got serious pretty damn quick after he kicked the Karma Ball away.

I loved that Gogeta just got right too and owned Janemba...no playing around. I would have rather have seen a drawn out fight with Gogeta vs. Janemba but with Gogeta having the advantage the entire time....the fusion is really at the very end and it feels tacked on despite the entire premise of the movie revolving around fusion. It's like Ash only catching a pokemon at the end of an entire season of Pokemon lol.

Vegetto was cocky for a reason. So that Boo would take Vegetto and Vegetto can save his friends. So no. Gogeta isn't the only non cocky fusion. As Gogeta had no reason to be cocky unlike Vegetto who had a mission.

I think Vegetto's a bit of a wild card in terms of cockiness, but it would've been nice to see Gogeta have an extended fight at some point. Heck, even in the latest movie.

Gogeta was cocky, just not in a playful way. "I am the one who will destroy you" kind of shows it, it's something I'd imagine Gotenks saying.

Counting GT is the same as movies, both of them are non-canon, so I believe we see two different Gogetas:The one who finishes thinks off quickly, and the other who plays games.
However GT Gogeta was just playing games because he thought he had time with him, he was just about to destroy him after Omegas power ball he must have saw how dangerous this can get.

Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

You're right and yet only sort of right.

Remember that DBZ movies have that tendency of finishing off the villain with some one-shot move

Ex:

-Movie 8 Broly: Spirit-bomb Punch
- Super Android 13: Spirit Bomb Absorption

and so on and so forth.

So you may be right, or it just may be a movie thing. For all we know, if that movie were converted into a program format, Gogeta could've acted like Vegito or his GT counterpart.

Regardless, it was pretty cool how he just took down Janemba in less than 30 seconds like it was nothing. The way he tanked the punch at the end seemed like it had its own implicit dialogue:

Gogeta: "Your power means nothing. My attack is destroying you right now; you just don't know it."

Janemba: "Yeah right, oh waitttttt nooooo JANEMMBAAAA poof"
We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.

Gogeta had no reason to act cocky in GT. You imagine people with that much experience on fighting would realize that if a SS3 fusion lasts only a small amount of time, a SS4 fusion would last even less.

The only Gogeta that i like is the one in movie 12. No joking around, just one shot the villain and it's all done.

SSJ4 does make the user act differently than usual, even Goku he stated himshelf he had a hard time controlling the power. So having two of them fused perhaps made thinks worse, Howveer after the karma ball was throw he realized he had to put an end to Omega, time didn't help him.
