False Saiyans?; Otherwise known as 'humanoids'

Do we know anything about the alien humanoids who frequently appear throughout the series? I've dubbed them "False Saiyans" because they're obviously not Saiyans, but they're not humans either.
Think Recoome.
They don't look very alien at all, but they very obviously are extremely powerful.

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

I simply prefer to refer to them as "Humanoid".

I don't think there's much, if anything said about them.

Toriyama is lazy, but i don't mind the fact that he doesn't give a name to all of the races. They are just aliens, that's all the reader needs to know. If he started giving names to all species that apperead, it would become to confusing, and, sincerely, it doesn't really matter what race is Recoome or Appule. Just call them humanoids and it's done.

That's fine, what I'm bitching about is that they all look like humans.

Saiyans are literally able to breed with humans
Saibamen are actually pretty alien
Cui looks somewhat alienish
Zarbon and Dodoria are just humans with bad skin, though Zarbon's monster form is weird
Guldo is just a fat guy with green skin and 4 eyes
Recoome looks exactly like a human
Burter and Jeice just have weird skin
Ginyu has purple skin and horns
Freeza and King Cold are somewhat unique, but still humanoid
Dabra is just a human with weird skin and ears
Namekians just have green skin, antennae, and ears
Pui Pui and Yakon are unique
The Kais are all just guys with weird ears and skin
Babidi is unique
Whis is just a human with weird skin
Beers is unique

Aren't most alien fictional characters human? What did you expect some mutated shark-cat-Rhino hybrid?

That's what most aliens in DBZ are; there are aliens in DBZ even weirder than that. But then there's the aliens that look exactly like humans/Saiyans (minus tails). Just kinda interested in that one.

No I'm saying that most fictional aliens look exactly like Humans or in DBZ's case humans and Saiyans.

Which is why I called it out; many, nay, most aliens in DBZ don't look exactly like humans, so that made me curious about the ones that do.

OH! Now I understand. I'm sorry could't understand very well. Well maybe Toriyama wanted diversity or wanted something simple.

maybe because they are humans, just not from earth. vegeta and ginyu both refer to themselves as human, for example, while the humans from earth are specifically called earthlings. so recoome looks human because he is human.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

When did Ginyu and Vegeta call themselves humans :o_O: .

Earthlings means being from Earth. So that dinosaur in the beginning of DB is an Earthling. The humans of Earth call themselves Human.

Seriously when did Vegeta say he was human!? Vegeta always was a SAIAYN!

Chapter: 439 (DBZ 245), P3.2-3
Context: as Kuririn goes up against Punter
Marron: “That person dad’s fighting is big and looks strong…I wonder if he’ll be alright?...”
Yamcha: “It’s fine, fine! Someone like that doesn’t matter at all! Your father is the strongest in the world! Among Earthlings…”

yamcha refers to krillin as an earthling. i can give you a dozen more examples of the humans of earth being called earthlings, but this one is with an earthling saying it, so it carries a bit more weight.

Chapter: 284 (DBZ 90), P5.2
Context: after Goku and Ginyu fight a bit
Ginyu: “If you’ve gotten confident from that brief exchange just now, I’ll soon take you down a notch…The truth is that I am also the type of human that can freely alter their battle power…!”

ginyu referring to himself as a human

Chapter: 233 (DBZ 39), P6.2
Oozaru Vegeta: “Wanna hear something good?... When Saiyans become Oozaru, their battle power becomes 10 times what it is as a human!!!!"

vegeta referring to saiyans, including himself, as humans.

there are other quotes calling vegeta and goku human, as well.

see, in the DB world "saiyan" and "earthling" are races like "white" and "black" are in this world. both saiyans and earthlings belong to the species homo sapiens, more commonly known as "human". the proof is the fact that they can interbreed and produce fertile offspring. this also means that if ginyu were to hook up with bulma on namek, she would have a child, and that child would most likely be fertile, as well.
